We are thrilled to report that Ferrets Unlimited Rescue Services has received a one-year, $1,000 award from the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust, a KeyBank Trust. We submitted our proposal in April and received notice of this award in late July.

The KeyBank Discretionary Charitable Trust Committee has requested that $500 of this award be used to offset the cost of the 32 rabies vaccinations that Dr. Krupka administered to our kids on May 30.

The other $500 is to be used for critical, non-routine care, with the request that we use these funds to help as many ferrets as possible. We have decided to use this part of the award to cover the veterinary fees for Ben and Jet, our 'scabies' kids, and to defray part of the veterinary costs for Chronos, our recent adrenal/prostate/urinary tract case. Chronos is recovering very well from his recent scare and emergency surgery.

FURS extends its sincerest thanks to the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust for its generosity and for its confidence in our efforts.
