I use the .NET to complie the .cs program.
If the model has element of rod, the number of "Grid Point Forces, Internal Forces" obtained by the getResultCopy function in ferespost.dll version 4.5.1 and previous version  is right, however, the number obtained by ferespost.dll version of 4.5.2 and later is wrong.
If change the rod element to bar, the error doesnot exist.
Could you solve this problem?

Hi Jin,

Thank you for your remark and investigation. I will have a look on it this weekend.

Meanwhile, you can do a few thinks to help me identify the problem:
  • Can you tell me from which kind of files the results have been read? OP2? XDB? HDF5?
  • Could you send me your data file?
  • Tell me: did you try to print the Grid Point Forces?
Regards,

Renaud

Hi,

Thank you for your kind reply! I have attached 3 files on the post above, the op2 bdf and c#code. The result file is OP2 format.
If you cannot see or download the files above, could you leave a e-mail address for sending these files to you?
First, I have used getResultCopy() to get internal force, then the calcResultingFM() to get sectional force.

Looking for your reply, thank you!
Regards,
Jin

Hi Jin,

I found a fix for the problem. Among other things, one test was wrong in source file "SRC/NASTRAN/op2/readOp2_OGF.cpp":
            else if (elemType[0]=='R') {
has been replaced by
            else if (elemType[0]=='R'&&elemType!="ROD") {
I also checked that no similar problem occurs for the reading of results from xdb or hdf5 files.

I share the latest sources and Windows binaries in "Latest Developments" section of FeResPost Download page.

Thanks again for your remarks,

Renaud
