Video Plus Print Hack

MyPhotoSmart Plus B210a, with new 564 Cartridges installed printed 2 pages then stopped. No messages, Goes through all the proper girations and blank paper with a vertical inky smudged streak on left side. Will not copy either. I have adjusted, reset, cleaned printheads, and nothing changes...the only message I've had is when I tried to Align Cartridges, it goes through the motion then says " Alignment Failed". I have not taken the printhead out and physically tried cleaning it yet. What else could cause it to just stop printing?

I turn off & on as prompted and still doesn't work. I keep checking ink levels & ink is going down . Where is the ink going? It still will not print anything or copy. the scanner is all that works. Is there another HP Printer that uses 564 cartridges that I can buy? I have 3 brand new genuine HP cartridges,

I have searched through the Prusa documentation and forums, but I cannot find any discussion of "PLA Plus" filament, only regular PLA. The PLA Plus filament that I have says it prints at a temperature range of 210 to 230 degrees, whereas my PLA filament says to print between 190 and 210 degrees. The default settings on my Prusa Mini+ print PLA at 215 degrees. Will this work for PLA Plus? Or do I need to use a slightly higher temperature? Or should I avoid PLA Plus all together?

I haven't used it and don't see any PLA Plus selections in Prusa Slicer, but you could try selecting generic PLA and go to the "Filament Settings" tab, "Filament" menu and increase the temperatures by 20 degrees and see how it works. The slicer determines the temperatures when printing. You probably can chose "PLA" on the Mini screen for loading. If that does not work, try PETG on the Mini screen for loading. It still uses the settings in the slicer when it is printing. There are many kinds of PLA + so it might even depend on which one you choose. I would select one with the tightest tolerance on the diameter. That is really important for the Mini to feed filament well. You may have to do cold pulls when going back to regular PLA. I always do that using the lower temperature filament at the previously used high temperature to melt all the old high temperature filament into the new low temp one. Otherwise globs of the old filament may remain in the extruder.

Our 8600 Plus takes up to 2 minutes to print each page. It does not seem to be a computer or network issue since prinitng reports or network configurations from the printers control screen produces the same results. Typically the paper feeds are rolling back and forth during this waiting period. I have checked for any jammed paper and did not see any obstructions.

Firstly, could you help to check "Print Seting"? It is because Print settings can affect print times. For instance, if you are printing in "Best Mode", it will take more time to print. Follow these steps to check the settings for print quality.

I am having the same issue, but like AlleyCat the issue happens with the computer out of the equation. Printing simple reports directly off of the printer are extremely slow to print. Printing a simple basic report can take 2 minutes to print 3 pages. That not sending a job through the computer but using the menu on the printer itself and printing.

WOW! I found on another thread where people were having the same issue and someone discovered the issue was caused by a small piece of paper stuck on the right side when the printer was opened up. I had the user check and sure enough they found a piece of paper and once it was cleared the printer started printing normally. YAY!!!

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please.
