Thanksguys, I appreciate the help. My unit is functioning fine, I just notice that there is the occasional delay with switching apps and the like. Do you think that a firmware hack will be developed to take advantage of more RAM?

The system is firmware locked at 8gb from what I have been able to find. I don't see any advantage to increasing it anyway, however - everything that is produced for the XB1 is made with 8gb of RAM in mind. Is there a performance issue with your unit that is prompting you to explore this?

My xbox one runs terribly, always has. I've factory defaulted it a couple times but still will force close games in the middle of them and lock up. I would be interested in knowing if i can upgrade the ram...

Like many things, there is no on screen indicator of HOW TO DO STUFF and we have no manual. So almost every aspect of the game is trial and error. (plus deaths)

So far having fun, but when basic game mechanics are hidden the fun starts decreasing rapidly. Spent most of a day trying to figure out how compost heaps work, squinting at icons, and trying to figure out what they are supposed to be.

Whoever ported the UI to the xbox needs to spend some time on the wheel of pain, they did a bad job of it.

A super simple upgrade is to download an Xbox HDD image (like a 500Gb Dragon build). After you download it, you would connect the HDD to your computer and use a program like "HDD Raw Copy Tool" to write the image to the HDD. When complete, it's as easy as plugging the HDD in and starting your Xbox. It works right away without any tinkering.

Alternatively, you could download a program like TruHexen 2021 and burn it to a DVD. Once the DVD is written, put it in the Xbox DVD drive, connect the new HDD and power up the Xbox. If memory serves me correctly, TruHexen will detect the new HDD and ask you if you want to set it up. There are a bunch of things to do in the setup process but just remember that you have a hard mod so you won't need to install a softmod. The goal here would be to install something like XBMC4Gamers and then transfer your games/emulators to your HDD yourself.

I look forward to seeing what you can do with your Xbox. If you want some cool gadgets (like an Xbox HDMI adapter, wireless controller adapter to use Xbox One / PS4 / and other modern controllers with your original Xbox) then send me a PM.

SInce the DVD boots up fine with the old HDD I say the bios on the chip is ok. Maybe needs to updatet later on (for bigger HDDs for example #LBA48 support) but it should not prevent your XBox from booting. And you say the cable is working fine also I would think it's maybe a WD green HDD? Does the HDD work when you connect her to your PC?

My aladdin also shows up as unknown but flashes and works fine. So like I said, nothing anyone should worry about. ANd btw. even the LPC2 cheap mod "things" I have soldered to the 1.6 shows up as unknown which has a 49LF020.

You need to install XBPartitioner v1.3 as an application on the Xbox's hard drive and run it from there. An error message about no LBA48 support found will most likely be displayed after you start it.

Off - Tap the power button and the Xbox starts as normal with the original BIOS.On - Press and hold power button for 1 second and the Aladdin XT is activated.Writeprotect - Press and hold power button for 2 seconds and the Aladdin XT is activated in flash write protect mode.Visual Mode Indication: The power LED will indicate the current mode by different colors.Off - Green (Normal) / Orange (HDD access)On - Orange (Normal) / Green (HDD access) Writeprotect - Continuous flashing Orange/Green

Power up your XBOx. UnleashX SHOULD boot up. *Hopefully*. From there you can launch XBlastOS to flash the bios (IGNORE) the masse shown by XBlastOS unsupportet ModChip in the main screen. Go to the flash section and flash the bios.

The photo attached is on my TV, its very strange, the normal menus and text is fine, but when it opens a text document or a pop up window that has a yes or no choice, then it looks like that, or worse.

Cool, But, the BIOS that boots from their modchip doesn't have LBA48 v2 or later support. I wanted him to check how the HDD is formatted without booting OGXbox Installer 2021 that does have LBA48 v2 support.

Heya... just a heads up, that this looks like the kind of issue best handled by the official support channels (these are the "unofficial" ones, where it's more often than not users sharing tips and work arounds)

Hello I am having an issue upgrading my original game to the next gen version. I own the game, the dlc etc... So I decided to purchase the optional upgrade on my Xbox and for some reason it did not work at all.

My broadband has recently been upgraded from BT Infinity 2 with a BT Smart Hub to BT Full Fibre with a BT Smart Hub 2. Since the upgrade all devices appear to be working normally with the exception of the kids xbox consoles which can no longer connect to Xbox live and as a result the kids cannot play their games. Both xbox consoles are hardwired to the network are a connect to the router using tp-link powerline adaptors. The Xbox DNS settings have also been updated to use the google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) due to previous connectivity problems with the SM1. I've tried connecting the Xbox consoles to the internet using the wifi hotspot on my mobile phone and everything worked correctly, so the Xbox consoles themselves are fine. I've also tried connecting the consoles to the SM2 wifi network, but this also does not work either.

I'm now at a loss on what to do next. BT technical support suggested contacting Xbox support as, from their point of view, the internet connection is fine. But I suspect that the issue is actually with the SM2 router.

Dual Entitlement means you can upgrade your copy of Madden NFL 24 from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or Xbox One to Xbox Series XS at no additional cost. See below for details regarding physical and digital versions of the game regarding Dual Entitlement.

Not in all instances. The digital version on either platform has Dual Entitlement and can be accessed on both platforms in the same console family, i.e. digital PS4/PS5 versions will provide both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, and digital Xbox One/Xbox Series XS versions will provide both the Xbox One and Xbox Series XS versions of the game.

For physical copies of the game, purchase the PlayStation 4 version to receive Dual Entitlement with PlayStation 5. The physical PlayStation 5 version does not offer Dual Entitlement. If you purchase Madden NFL 24 on either Xbox platform, you will have access to both versions of the game through Xbox Smart Delivery.

If you redeem pre-order content in Madden NFL 24 on PlayStation 4 then that content will be available when using the same account in Madden NFL 24 on PlayStation 5. If you pre-ordered Madden NFL 24 on PlayStation 4, but waited to play the game first on PlayStation 5, you will still receive the content on the applicable account.

If you redeemed pre-order content in Madden NFL 24 on Xbox One, then that content will be available, when using the same account, in Madden NFL 24 on Xbox Series XS. If you pre-ordered Madden NFL 24 on Xbox One, but waited to play the game first on Xbox Series XS, you will still receive the content on the applicable account.

If you upgrade to Xbox Series XS or PS5, any content or progression that does not carry over from the previous version will still be available in your Xbox One or PS4 version. You can still access this content when you play the Xbox One or PS4 version of the game as long as you are playing this version on your Xbox One or PS4 console. If you play the Xbox One of PS4 version on your Xbox Series XS or Gen 5 machine, the content will not transfer.

^^Offers may vary or change. See retailer site for details.

***Conditions & restrictions apply. See Official Rules at maddenchampionship.com/rules for details. Competitors may receive a maximum of five (5) Red Zone Packs during the MCS season, with a maximum of one (1) Red Zone Pack per EA Major.

Xbox All Access lets people pay for Xbox consoles over 24 months, with no upfront cost. For a limited time, anyone purchasing an Xbox One X console in this way before December 31, 2019, will have the option to upgrade to Project Scarlett when it officially launches in Holiday 2020.

Gamers choosing to purchase an Xbox One S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition bundle can upgrade to Project Scarlett in 18 months, although a 15 upgrade fee applies to anyone with an All-Digital Edition.

Fallout's next-gen upgrade came out of the starting blocks with serious issues on all platforms, but a patch for PlayStation and Xbox systems on May 13th promises to fix the most glaring problems. We've tested the game on PS5, Series X and Series S to see what's changed with the new update, and there is plenty to praise here - though some problems still remain. Crucially, Bethesda has at least provided a working graphics mode selector on Xbox Series X and S - a clearly labelled switch between 'visuals' mode and 'performance' mode that replaces the broken on/off performance toggle we saw before. These modes run with what the developer calls standard settings (on performance mode) or ultra settings (on visuals mode), and each deploys dynamic resolution scale to varying degrees too. That same visuals/performance labeling is applied to the PlayStation 5 version today as well, though these modes at least worked as intended in the previous patch.

There's an extra bonus here. Every current-gen console also gains the ability to independently set their target frame-rate via a new in-game option. We have 30fps and 60fps modes available on standard 60Hz displays - while an additional 40fps display mode becomes available when running with a 120Hz screen connected. Essentially, you can now choose an arbitrary frame-rate target regardless of your graphics mode, and so, we can now even target visuals mode at 60fps. In effect this might make sense when running the game on future PlayStation or Xbox hardware, for example, or to maximise frame-rates in the game's least demanding areas at the expense of frame-rate stability elsewhere. With two graphics modes and three frame-rate options, then, we certainly have a lot more flexibility.
