Translated Materials
On our website, you will find a “Language Resources” page, as well as links at the top of the County’s COVID-19 website to different language resources. These links will continue to be updated all week - please check the website periodically for new information.
Our colleagues at the City of Portland are working to create short videos in multiple languages based on this poster. We hope that these videos will be completed and posted in the next few days.
We also wanted to share a video in Swahili from African Families Holistic Health Organization here in Portland.
Community Resources Page
The resources from our community resources list that we sent out on Monday are now on our Community Resources page! If you have suggestions for resources that should be added (particularly culturally-specific resources), please send them to us. Some of the categories of resources include culturally-specific, food resources, mental health, substance use disorder, recovery support, resources for people experiencing domestic violence, financial support, educational resources and much more!
We also encourage you to check out these COVID-19 racial equity and social justice tools from Racial Equity Tools.

Governor’s Order & Law Enforcement
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office released a FAQ about how they plan to enforce Governor Brown’s “Stay Home, Save Lives” order. The Sheriff’s FAQ will be updated to include information about how to file a complaint against law enforcement officers for racial profiling or discrimination. We have included the current FAQ as an attachment. Also, you can look at the Portland Police Bureau’s statement.
Reporting Discrimination
Any discrimination incident that may be motivated by another person’s race, color, disability, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity is considered a hate and bias incident. The act does not need to be a federal, state or local crime.
Whether it happened to you or someone else, we urge you to report the incident either online or by calling 1-844-924-2427 so the Oregon Department of Justice can track the incident. For emergency assistance, dial 911.
US Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) Announcement
USCIS has announced that it will provide flexibility in submitting required signatures during the COVID-19 national emergency.
Real ID Extension
The President announced today that the deadline for Real ID will be extended beyond the current October 1 deadline.
