Advocate for IDAs in the 2021 Oregon legislative session: NP is putting on advocacy trainings for IDA savers and providers who are interested in meeting with their elected officials in the 2021 session in support of IDAs. These first two dates are focused on supporting savers, and they are identical trainings, so savers can choose which ever time works best for their schedules. We’re also happy to announce that both sessions will have simultaneous Spanish interpretation. Please help promote this opportunity with your savers and program staff!
WHAT: The Oregon IDA Initiative needs your help to secure necessary funding for Individual Development Accounts in the State of Oregon. Your experience saving toward your specific goal is a crucial story that your legislators need to hear. Join us at the beginning of the new year to learn the basics of advocacy, how to make the connection with your elected representative in Salem, and tell your story about how IDAs helped you achieve your life goals
WHEN: We hope to work around your busy schedule by offering two identical sessions via Zoom:
Wednesday, January 6, 6:00 – 8:00pm
OR
Saturday, January 9, 1:00 – 3:00pm
Please click here to register for one of the two advocacy training sessions!
After advocacy trainings have concluded Neighborhood Partnerships will be scheduling meetings with legislators throughout the first half of the year, and will work with your schedules in mind to ensure that you get the chance to meet with your elected representatives.
