After changing her hairstyle, Maya Desrochers decided to surprise her partner, Carter Bennett, with her new look. A video uploaded to the couple's shared TikTok profile, @mayaandcarter, shows Bennett waiting in a car with his eyes closed. He asks, "Can I open them?" When Desrochers says he can, he looks at her and says: "Wow! You look really good."

The video has received more than 136,000 views since the couple posted it on May 20, with viewers praising Bennett's supportive reaction. "He loves and supports," one user wrote. "Treasure this green flag."

Desrochers' new hairstyle is a shoulder-skimming bob complete with face-framing bangs. In the video, Desrochers, seemingly unaccustomed to the new style, asks Bennett repeatedly, "Don't I look like a mom?"

The fake reaction video also went viral, quickly racking up more than 2 million views, and viewers debated in the comments section whether Bennett's response was a good display of honesty or a "red flag."
