Cable laying works by Reliance Comm - need to ensure they restore the road condition

Good morning

You all must have seen the digging works along the side of the road all the way from Nizampet X roads to Rajeev Gandhi Nagar.  Apparently this is being done by Reliance communications.  What is also glaringly noticeable is that as part of their work they are digging up the CC/BT road, but just filling it up with mud/debris once the cables are laid.  According to my understanding they are supposed to restore the condition of the road to its original state.  That is how they get approval from GHMC.  Since GHMC doesn't seem to be enforcing this, we need to make sure they are reminded to follow up on this.  Request all of you to call any of the following GHMC call center numbers to register a complaint: 40-23302440, 40-23302550, 40-23302660, 8790715555, 8790725555.

Also, I request you to add in your thoughts and suggestions on how to make progress on this issue.

I have lodged complaint - both through grievance route and GHMC call centre.

Suggest for more such complaints to be lodged.

We need to also revive out complaints on encroachments on road by vendors.

GM of a company to who are executing the job for Reliance.Always assurance
given but we as a group must take it strongly

Tahnks Sanjay. It is a good lead.

The concerned person is Nagraj GM of HFCL, a company responsible for this work.

I have spoken to him at length and not convinced with his reasoning of restoration process.

I did not get comfort in his conversation. I asked him to send the process of restoration of road through a mail

I shall forward the same on receipt.

Bottom Line: Unless we show our concern I am SURE they will do NOTHING except covering with debris.

I received a text message from Nagarj GM of HFCL (9052956464.) that he is having a meeting today at 2.30 with R&B and GHMC on the process of restoration after cable work is complete. I asked him to send a mail on the restoration process after he completes the meeting.

Had we not alarmed, there would not been any discussions with authorities and there would be NO process except covering with debris.

I cautioned Nagraj, if the road is not restored, we will not allow the cable work to be continued.. I said we will come in a large group and stall the work.

One of the best thing happened to Cyberabad area is now Mr CV Anand
( Traffic Commissioner Cyberabad ) been made the in charge of the area.
He did the enormous work towards the improvement of Traffic system in
Hyderabad area. He was instrumental in taking many decision such as Traffic
signal everywhere & taking actions against the drivers with inebriated
state and so on...

Now to take this as a opportunity , i feel that we must meet him with a
agenda ( Issues of traffic ) & convey the message that we shall always
support him, In fact he thanked also to my text message about this
assignment.

I have spoken again in the evening to Nagaraj GM of HFCL- Reliance's arm for cabling. 

Now he says that the areas dug in front of the buildings shall be restored in a time frame of three weeks where as the  road areas will have to be restored by R&B. I spoke to Anand Kumar EE of R&B who denied their role on this and he said that cable company need to do this 

I asked Nagaraj to send me a mail on this. He has so far not sent any mail. 

Conclusions:

It appears that the cable company has no plans to restore road. There is no threat from any government agency who verifies the completion  of cabling per the terms of sanction of permission 

On our alerting they now intend to do some thing near houses/ flats.,leaving roads unattended after cable laying. 

Need to pursue vigorously by lodging more complaints with GHMC ( only a couple responded so far confirming lodging g of complaints)

We may take some pictures and send to media with a brief write up.

Its all the nexus between so called Govt agency & Company like HFCL. How
confidently this chunk of people creat ruckus. (Which as per me means, if
we dig a well at the main junction even then Govt authorities wd not be
bothered !! )

This is why all such nuisance happnes. Any tom, dick, harry start digging
the road for their personal reason & no one bothers. After making such huge
efforts in fighting & following R & B, the road was made specially the
cement road at Nizampeth temple. (In fact, one point of time they
threatened me not to follow so rigorously).

Sometime feels that one fine Judgement day , when God will ask that what
you have done as a Human life then my answer would be as a Indian total
life went in following on three basics i.e Road, Water & Electricity. But
always things that before my children grow, this issues needs to be
cornered. However I doubt strongly ..........

The latest outcome is that 

• R&B permitted this agency to do this digging work.
• There is definite ambiguity in terms of restoration of road from cable company. In fact they do not have concrete plans. At one stage they told me that it will settle by itself during monsoon
• I have contacted Anand Kumar +91 94-40-818102 & Rama Krishna +91 94-40-819162  of R&B and asked them to prevail upon the agency &  ensure for proper restoration - otherwise to prevent them to do any further digging.

In case you find the restoration is not done at your area pls contact the above two gentlemen from R&B

Dear All,

We should start written correspondence with R&B informing them that road digging work is happening and ask for copies of R&B's permission to HFCL. Pls write to Anand Kumar, EE and register or speed post the RTI to his office in Goshamahal area. Involves a bit of extra work but is essential.

Our phone calls and GHMC grievances will not have the desired effect. Nizampet area after the kamaan does not come under GHMC.

R&B instructed cable company to suspend work till the restoration is complete in the areas already dug. 

This is good development 

I am told that the BT road is sanctioned from Kolanu raghava reddy function hall to Gokaraju engg college. It may take some routine process time of tendering etc. to implement.
