Traffic issues at Nizampet X road

Dear All,
Every morning and evening we all are facing traffic jams at Nizampet X
road. Last few days I have requested the media to highlight this issue
and Eenadu published a cover story this morning.
We spoke with the Engineering team and are planning to meet the
Traffic DCP with a report. Here are the pain points and proposed
solutions by Vidyasagar. Please share your opinions on the below ideas
and spare some time when we meet the DCP. More number of people when
meeting the DCP will help in highlighting the issue.
1. Ensure no vehicles are parked in front of Mehfil. Mehfil has to
provide parking.
2. Close the entrance for vehicles coming onto Service road from the
highway. Expand the service road for traffic that goes from Nizampet.
All outgoing traffic will only take the service road and this Traffic
will merge onto the highway after Mega More. Vehicles that want to go
to Mega More from the highway must take the service road near the
Temple.
3. Stopping the autos coming from Nizampet at Vijetha super market
itself and making them take a u turn there. This is during morning
8-11. This will reduce traffic 30%.
4. Autos that take people towards Nizampet to be regulated. Make
developments on the Nizampet road (like a footpath) for people to wait
for an auto so that people waiting for autos don't stand all over at
Nizampet x road.

Today HRDCL Engineer Seetaramayya garu and I studied the traffic
situation at Nizampet X roads and it requires a coordination of HRDCL,
HMRL, TSRTC, Traffic Police to remove all obstacles causing traffic
jams. Ideally, the Corporator should intervene and with the help of
MLA call for a coordination meeting.
I wish the elected representatives intervene and help us else
thousands of people have to continue to suffer in an avoidable traffic
jam.
