Kings of Jo'burg has garnered a lot of positive responses from both the audience and the critics due to its compelling storyline and arresting acting performances by the lead cast members. Thus, it is safe to say that viewers have been buzzing with excitement since the official trailer for the series' second season was dropped by Netflix.
The highly awaited second season of the series will be released exclusively on Netflix this Friday, January 27, 2023, at 3 am ET. Viewers will only need a Netflix subscription to catch the series' new season.
The series' first season had one of the most heart-wrenching and astonishing endings, which left the audience with several significant unanswered questions, including where Tlotlo will end up after providing Mimi with another chance and whether he will be able to escape from Zaza's trap.
The synopsis and the trailer provide fans with clues about what to expect from the new season. By the looks of it, it is quite evident that the season will be full of a highly stirring and gripping series of events. With a new king on the rise and everything falling apart in the kingdom, it will be quite intriguing to see where the season will take the storyline.
Kingsburg will also be led by a solid offensive line made up of returners Aaron Garcia, Sylvester Parra, John Peterson, and Trevor Nelson. They will be mixed in with newcomers Emilio Ayala and Chris Bejarano.
They then will host Kerman High on Oct. 6, travel to Central Valley Christian (Visalia) on Oct. 13, host Reedley High on Oct. 20 and then will end the regular season on Friday, Oct. 27 against Selma High School in Selma.
We review the dice rolling euro game Kingsburg. In this highly-accessible worker placement game, players are trying to earn the favor of the King by strategically using dice placement to claim the help of advisors. With its easy to learn mechanics, it's worth a look!
Players will first get their color set of six-sided dice, building tokens, a good of their choosing and place their disc tokens on the turn order, victory point track, and the soldiers track. They will also receive a province sheet that contains the list of building they can build during the game. These buildings are the primary source of victory points in the game. As players build their buildings, they will gain a benefit. These benefits include increasing the number of soldiers you have, rolling an extra die, adjusting the total on your dice, exchanging goods for victory points, and many other things. Each province sheet is the same with the only requirement that you build left to right across the rows. Each of the five rounds in Kingsburg is separated into eight phases:
The final step of each productive season is to construct buildings. Each player is allowed to construct one building on their turn. Players pay the building cost with the goods they have collected from the advisors and place a building token of their color on their province sheet. They earn the victory points for the building, if applicable.
Kingsburg is a light game. Even though my how to play section seems a little long, it encompasses the entire game. There are no complicated rules or cards that players have to understand to start succeeding and playing the game. At its core, the game is: roll dice, gain resources and spend them to earn victory points and special abilities. Despite being a very simple game to teach, it plays well with an experienced gaming group.
In 2020, Anthony guest-starred in the Netflix series Kings of Jo'burg, which was created and produced by Shona Ferguson.[13][14] Anthony was also cast in a lead role in the short film She Had to Ask, which premiered on Allblk in the same year.[15]
The Masire brothers rule Johannesburg's criminal underworld but a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them.Kings of Jo'burg featuring Shona Ferguson and Thembi Seete has one or more episodes streaming with subscription on Netflix, and streaming with subscription on Netflix Basic. It's a crime and thriller show with 14 episodes over 2 seasons. Kings of Jo'burg is still airing with no announced date for the next episode or season. It has a less than average IMDb audience rating of 5.3 (690 votes).
After all player dice have been placed and each advisor has been resolved, phases 2, 4, and 6 allow all players to build exactly one building on their province board, spending resources acquired during the current or past productive seasons and scoring victory points for any new construction.
Kingsburg is never leaving my collection. I did a game weekend with three friends from high school four years ago, and the highlight of the 13 different games we played that weekend was Kingsburg. We played it three times, more than any other game that hit the table.
And with four players who know how to play, Kingsburg can be set up and played in an hour. Sometimes when I stare at a few of the games on my shelf, I frown on the idea of spending 30-40 minutes to get them set up. You will never have that issue with Kingsburg!!

Back in Kingsburg, Field became part-time music director at Concordia Lutheran Church while continuing to teach private voice and piano lessons. In the meantime, her undergrad experience working in several FPU offices opened a new door: Field was hired as the executive assistant to the dean of the School of Humanities, Religion and Social Sciences. During seven years in that position, she grew her professional skills, met her husband and became a mom.
Field House Photography serves as many as 150 families a year, and recently added school portraiture. In her busy season, August through November, Field works 65-hour weeks. She recently hired a fellow FPU alum as her administrative assistant, freeing Field to focus on clients and the creative aspects of the business. Field bills herself as a family life photographer, and loves shooting imaginative, theme-styled sessions. Her flare for storytelling and imagination is evident in her work, and she believes her musical background informs her desire to capture beautiful moments.
