How to include external resistance/lumped resistance in the model

Dear All,

Am currently working on a 3D Thermoelectric model, where am suppose to connect an external resistor as shown in the model. The resistor in the model is not a physical quantity, it's a lumped element. Does anyone have any idea about this?

I have attached a picture of the model.
