According to Feng Shui principles, mirrors are often referred to as
the Feng Shui aspirin. Here are 6 mirror tips for you.
1. Make sure that what your mirror reflects is positive. Pay close
attention to what it's reflecting. Since mirrors expand and double
whatever they reflect, you don't want to enlarge a big pile of
clutter! If your mirror is reflecting a photo of you and your family
having a great time on vacation, it's doubling the joy in that area of
your home.
2. Hang a mirror large enough and high enough to reflect your entire
head. You don't want to distort the image of your face. Make sure the
mirror is hung high enough for the tallest person in your house.
3. Mirrors should be kept sparking clean, untarnished, and unbroken.
Even though antique mirrors can be pretty make sure you're not staring
into a tarnished reflection day in and day out.
4. Tiled mirrors present problems because they're literally slicing up
your face and/or body. Subconsciously, they can have a disturbing
effect on you. I know they're popular, but think twice before
purchasing one for your home.
5. Mirrors expand and bring light into a room. They create a window
effect and are great to use in a room with little light, small spaces,
and few windows.
6. If you're having trouble sleeping at night and you have a mirror
across from your bed, cover it up or remove it from the wall for a few
weeks. See if your sleeping improves. Mirrors expand and activate
energy and this is the opposite of what you want to happen while
you're sleeping.
