The positions of flying stars are changed every year. The important
flying stars we need to pay most attention are 3 Blue , 5 Yellow and 8
White Stars.

In 2008, 3 Green Star, which causes trouble, damage, arguments and
lawsuit, arrives in West. This star belongs to Wood element. Then we
can use Fire Element to decrease its bad chi. Therefore we recommend
place something red in this area, such as red scrolls or red Buddha.

Watch out South position in 2008 since 5 Yellow Star and 3 Killings
are in South. 5 Yellow Star causes serious sick; 3 Killings cause
accidents and injuries. So it is better to lower this position and let
it quiet in this area. Too much activation is prohibited, such as
displaying running water fountain. In addition, too much Wood or Fire
Elements in South are not recommended, for example, red carpet.

However the element we use to increase/decrease may be not just
according to Theory of 5 Elements (Theory of 5 elements is at
http://fengshui-import.com/catalog/Five-Elements.html ). The choice of
elements will also depend on the location that the flying star is
located. For instance, 8 White Star, which is the emperor star in
Period 8( from 2004 to 2024), locates in east this year. Since the
star is in charged, it is auspicious in many aspects, which is good
for starting enterprise, monetary fortune and promotion even marital
affairs. Star 8 White belongs to earth element; however, the east
region in the original Ba Gua belongs to wood element. According to
the Five-element theory, the wood element destroys earth element, it
means the Star 8 White can't develop due to the disturbance of wood
element. And if we just place regular earth element feng shui item as
usual, it will cause skin and digest diseases, and minor problems
associated with thews, feet and ear because the Star 8 White
represents thews, hands, back, stomach and intestines, etc in human
body; the wood chi in original east represents liver, feet and hair,
etc (the original east is related to Star 3 Jade); when these
particular wood element and earth element have a fight, those body
sickness we mentioned before will indicate in certain level. So we
need to use fire element in east region this year. Here the fire
element functions not just a supporter for earth element (fire
produces earth), but also the mediator between wood element and earth
element in this conflict. In one hand, wood element produces fire
element, which will exhaust the wood energy; in the other hand, the
fire element is triggered and producing propitious earth energy to
strengthen the lucky Star 8 White. It makes a perfect solution in both
sides.

In addition, keep in mind that don't choose one element to destroy
another element. Destroying will cause heavily back strike sometimes.
The best solution is to use the milder way to decrease that element.
