Summary
For all of these possible pairings, it is interesting to see the ways in which they're all at least part of Kairi, even in the pairing that doesn't involve her. It has to be interesting to have a relationship with someone who is at least some part of you, even if things have happened sufficiently in the interim that she's grown into her own person. Are there tics or mannerisms that are tells about the shared origin? Do Kairi and her Nobodies get along fabulously because they understand each other on a subconscious level, or do they fight hard with each other because they keep unconsciously doing the thing they expect to work, only for it to explode in their face because they aren't actually the same person and those shortcuts aren't actually useful?
If none of that translates well into art or vids, I am always a fan of the ways in which the Stations of Awakening reveal hidden depths and priorities of those depicted on the stained glass floors. What might it look like for any of these pairings or trios if they were in the same space? (That's a perfectly good textual story, as well, if you want to explore the Dive to Heart with all three of them.)

For Lightning/Chocolina: What seems like a complete crack pairing (and, y'know, if that's what you want, go ahead) reveals some hidden depths and seriousness when you remember that both Lightning and Chocolina are both timeless entities that exist in all of the possible pathways and detours through time that Serah takes in XIII-2. It would make sense if she's another of those entities that Lightning recruited to her own cause and then sent through time to help Serah. And because she's timeless, both Lightning and Chocolina could enjoy each other's company even as Caius continues his work in the timelines as well. It might make for a slightly sillier art piece for it to be Lightning and multiple Chocoinas at the same time, or the comparisons of "Okay, which Chocolina are you and where are we in your timeline?"
Regarding Serah/Yeul: The Eyes of Etro are a terrible curse for someone to bear, even though both Serah and Yeul know what the consequences are and accepted what was given to them. They are the two people in the timeline who know what the experience they will have is like. That could make for intimacy between them that wouldn't be possible with any other being in any timeline. And they could also understand what it's like having someone devoted to them who they may or may not return the interest of, but they understand they need as a champion.

We know that neither the Baker's Wife nor Cinderella turns out to be completely enchanted by their Prince, and the experience certainly left something to be desired for both of them. There are an entire set of possible reasons why the two of them might end up either falling in love or deciding that perhaps the reason they weren't interested in Princes was because they were interested in women instead of men. This can be either sweet and loving or snarky and involve a fair amount of drinking first. Or a careless wish with consequences. Any and all of those possibilities would be in character for the work.

Oh, there's so much possibility here. Either in the original style where there was a really good relationship between Gloreth and Nimona, before the villagers ruined it for them, or possibly in some other universe or timeline where Gloreth and Nimona were able to maintain their relationship, either because the villagers didn't have a complete freakout, or in spite of the freakout, the two of them kept their relationship going all the way through the freakout.
Or, possibly, the hateful relationship that the two of them continue to have with each other, because it turns out the villagers thought Gloreth was corrupted by Nimona and shunned her, and she hates Nimona for it, even as she still loves Nimona and Nimona likes her, but also hates her because she was responsible for ruining the good thing that they had. Very, very complex possibilities, and whatever happens with that, will be good.
(Art-wise, if you wanted to do something in ND's style, that would also be okay, but also, that book style at the beginning of the movie would be good to have some of the things with their relationship illustrated that way, too. Possibly some kind of piece that reflects Gloreth as the supposed "light" and Nimona as the "darkness" that is her opposition or complement.)

Lapis is a very relatable character, in the way she eventually tries to bring her emotions more under control, or at least tries to not be around others when she decides she's going to let her emotions out. All of these possible pairings put Lapis up with someone who is either extremely logical and data-driven (Peridot), someone who is equally as concerned about not losing control of herself (Pearl), or someone who has a much more relaxed attitude about basically everything and isn't afraid of her own emotional states (Amethyst). Any one of the three of them makes a great foil to Lapis and offers her a new way of looking at the world and herself that she can learn something from as they go into or through the relationship that they have.
(Fusion art is okay, if you want to go that route, showing what the pairing might look like together, or some part of their fusion dance, or the two of them together in ways that highlight their various personalities.)

There's a clear past between Blake and Ilia, and it seems pretty clear that at least Ilia has had a big crush on Blake. Whether it has been requited at any point is a question in the air, and with the way that Blake was finally able to admit her feelings for Yang, maybe she's also able to do the same for Ilia at some point. (Or tell us something in the past where they did.) I feel like it's a different kind of relationship between the two of them, and not just because Ilia's a chameleon and likely used to hiding or adapting her feelings to whatever she thinks the other person might want. Especially if it's Blake, who might be very expressive with her ears and tail about that particular kind of hiding.

Meryl's takes-no-shit attitude toward everything, including Vash and his tendency to get them all in trouble with bullets flying at them. (And she's protective of Millie's cheeriness and doesn't want anything to stop it from happening.) The two of them have been through so much together on their various cases, even before they're assigned to the Humanoid Typhoon, that their collegial relationship might develop into something more intimate and they enjoy each other's company and traveling together, and it seems perfectly respectable, because it's two ladies traveling together and nothing untoward could possibly come from that.
(Art-wise, possibly putting together Derringer Millie in her shooting glory and Millie as the damsel in distress (who happens to have also knocked out her captors because she's hella strong, but doesn't realize quite that she's saved herself yet.))

It might have started in trauma bonding, but it developed into love. (Art-wise, it might be interesting to have them both looking at each other, with their fantasy land and/or the characters from those lands in the background.)
Regarding (Entrapta or Darcy) / Willow: This is my "ladies of SCIENCE!" pairing set, even though Willow, Entrapta, and Darcy have all been exposed to or manipulated magical artifacts or magical powers as well. They seem like people who would have a really great geek-out session especially about the kind of esoteric science that might have made it possible for one or the other to cross over into the other's setting. And in trying to figure out some way of getting back, or showing the other one their own universe to the other one. (Art-wise, same idea, looking at each other with their universes in the background, or the possibility of Willow and Entrapta riding Emily together, or something similar. These are only suggestions, after all.)

For each of these goddess / human pairings, there seems to be the situation where the goddess is either waiting for or has found the person who has taken time to try and get to know them. It may or not be accurate information (the historian, for example, may have only secondhand accounts, or the accounts of the conquerors, or other such things that would be inaccurate but might have just enough truth to them to make the goddess manifest) or it might be that someone is doing something desperate (trying to escape a bad situation) and manages to do the thing that summons the goddess completely by accident. It certainly seems like the kind of situation that might result in a fair amount of misunderstanding (and possibly hilarity) before it all clicks into place and the potential seriousness of it all becomes apparent to both of them.
(Art-wise, the forest goddess seems like someone who might entwine their person with some vines or other greenery as a way of expressing affection for her, and the ancient goddess might show the obsessed historian some of the things that are still standing and preserved that nobody else has seen so as to make it clear what's gone on. Or something else.)
