WOC has created a petition to Pope Leo to mark Vocations Sunday (which is this Sunday, April 26!). On Vocations Sunday, the church prays for an increase in vocations and we lift up the sincere vocations of women and people of all genders to the priesthood. Our theme for this year is "Be Not Afraid," and we've written a petition to Pope Leo calling on him to take courageous action on the issue of women's ordination: https://c.org/RGBHKXXXHf
If you would be willing to share this with your networks before Sunday, either through email or on social media (or both), we would be extremely grateful! There are downloadable graphics at the link above. We will be sending the letter to Pope Leo on the feast of St. Catherine of Siena, which is three days after Vocations Sunday, as an homage to her courage in speaking truth to popes and church leaders.
Thanks for your help with this -- and may we all "be not afraid" in our various contexts in these times!
Warmly,
Katie--Katie Lacz (she/her)Program Director--
