Dear all,
You have contacted me in the past to express support for a woman’s right to choose and to share your concerns about anti-abortion protests taking place outside Wistons clinic locally. As you know, there is some evidence that the protests are having a direct impact on access to the clinic and Wistons have reported an increase in the number of late term abortions, which the clinic fears may be due to the protests.
I am keen to build up a picture of exactly how women are affected by these anti abortion protests and hope you will not mind me getting in touch to ask for your help. I am keen to hear from women who have either felt forced into using a different clinic because of the protests at Wistons, have delayed seeking an abortion because of the protests, or who have struggled to access other services at Wistons because of feeling intimidated by protesters. If this applies to you or anybody you know, I’d very much appreciate you getting in touch.
All information will be confidential although if you are willing for it to be made public in future as part of any work I might do in support of a woman’s right to choose, please do let me know.
