Hi,

I signed up to use your online lab for FEMhub. I forked the worksheet "Hermes 2D - Poisson Equation", but could not evaluate it because at line 1 I got the error: ImportError: No module named hermes2d. I was under the impression that I do not need FEMhub installed (or any of the packages it relies on) in order to use the online lab; was I wrong?

Thanks,

Do you mean the old Sage-based FEMhub Online Lab that is part
of the FEMhub open source project, or NCLab (nclab.com)? The
latter is not part of the FEMhub project.

If you are using the latter, you do not need the FEMhub package
installed. The hermes2d package should work, so it must have gotten
broken by some recent changes. At this point, however, we have
released a new version of Hermes2D which will replace the current Hermes2D (more than one year old). So it appears to me that it
makes no sense fixing the old one. Python wrappers for the new
version will be finished in about 2 weeks, and then the new Hermes2D
will become available in NCLab.

It was the nclab.com portal. Glad to hear that Hermes is getting an
update; I look forward to trying it out.

Cheers,
Dan

I hope that you will not be disappointed. We are also finalizing
a browser-based geometry and mesh editors and postprocessor.
After Python wrappers for Hermes are ready, we will be able
to finally glue everything together and present interactive graphical
PDE modules in NCLab. Plus, we want to allow people to create
modules for their own PDE codes in the same way. Still lots of
work in front of us, but we are getting there.
