Dear all,

I'm pleasantly surprised to find the new nclab after being away from femhub for quite some time.

A few usage-related questions about nclab:

1.  How do I delete my own published worksheets? I inadvertently pushed the publish button so now my worksheet becomes public

2.  Is there an easy way to import published worksheets to my local directory? Does it have something to do with the "sphinx web site"?  At the moment I have to copy paste the inputs box by box

3.  How do I get a non-input text cell?

3.  It would be nice to access the public worksheet (WS) from my web desktop once I'm logged in. currently it seems that I have to open the published WS prior to login. I guess you're working on this?

Here is thinking it would be extremely beneficial to have a FAQ list for nclab/femhub.

Thanks everyone.

Presently the only way is to create a new worksheet, copy the old
(published)
one into it, and delete the old one.

If you right-click a worksheet in the Browser, you will see
an option Export.

Say that you are in an input cell. Click on Cell->Insert After->Text
Cell or
Cell->Insert Before->Text Cell. Then you double-click the text cell to
edit.

When you are logged in, there is a Fork button in the menu. This will
allow you to see and also clone published worksheets.

This is a very good idea and easy to to. Would you be willing to
review the
first version I create, to make it more useful?

And finally a request - could you please use the new list nclab-
us...@googlegroups.com
for things related to NCLab?

Best,

Pavel

Hi Razi,
I was mistaken thinking that adding FAQ is trivial. Since NCLab has
now
5 different languages, the amount of work is significant and we should
first
agree on the questions, then do the answers, and at last the
translations.
Would you be willing to send me an initial list of questions that you
would
like to see there?

Best,

Pavel

Hi Pavel,

Thanks so much for responding. Sorry I overlooked some of the features on nclab like the fork button before posting my questions here.

I'd love to. By the way, I have a new group of students (~80) in my class who are going to use nclab this semester (just started). In a
way I was thinking about the FAQ being helpful to the users like my students.

Will gladly do so.

Regards,

Hi Razi,
this would be great. I will work on them too
afterwards, and translate them to the other
languages.

Would you find it useful if NCLab was also
translated into your language?

Best,

Pavel

It'd be much helpful, yes. My native language Malay shares much in common with Indonesian, so you pretty much cover much of South East Asia.

On the other hand most of engineering/math/science courses are taught in English at universities here. So we expect the students are well versed with English.

Best,

Razi
