The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program is a full-time hands-on training and educational program that provides early career individuals with the opportunity to spend 12 weeks at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in Washington, DC learning about science and technology policy and the role that scientists and engineers play in advising the nation. This year, the program will run from March 6 to May 26, 2023.
A typical candidate is in the final years of their PhD program or has defended their thesis within the past five years and is interested in exploring career options outside of academia or industry. Fellows become part of an Academies' unit where they are assigned to a mentor and have hands-on experience learning about the world of science and technology policy. Fellows also have the opportunity to network with Washington, DC-based experts on science and technology policy in government and non-profit organizations.
The application will be open until October 31, 2022. The Fellowship stipend will be $11,000. To learn more, please visit The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program.
