Health Careers Opportunities Program (HCOP)

The Health Careers Opportunities Program (HCOP) provides opportunities to people from economically or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their skills to compete for, enter, and graduate from health or allied health professions schools. 

HRSA will award approximately $13.5 million to fund up to 21 grants for five years.

Eligible applicants:

• Accredited school of medicine, osteopathic medicine, public health, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, pharmacy, allied health, chiropractic, podiatric medicine
• Public or nonprofit private school that offers graduate programs in behavioral and mental health or programs for the training of physician assistants
• Public or private nonprofit health or educational entity like a community college, technical college or tribal college.
