Columbia Engineering’s Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers (SHAPE) has opened applications for Summer 2023.

SHAPE is a pre-college program for rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates to experience Columbia Engineering courses. SHAPE provides opportunities for high-achieving students to explore their interests in fields ranging from biomedical engineering to environmental sustainability, taught by Columbia Engineering faculty. Students also participate in workshops to hone their communication and leadership skills. Columbia Engineering undergraduates and graduate students serve as near-peer mentors to provide students with insight into the college experience.

Columbia University full-time staff or faculty with dependents may be eligible for a 50% discount.

Summer 2023 will have two sessions, each lasting three weeks. Each day goes from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Session 1: July 5-July 25
Session 2: July 26-August 15

Parents/guardians should review the application with their child and indicate in the appropriate section their affiliation with Columbia University. The application deadline for priority enrollment is January 15 with rolling admission until April 2023.

Apply by January 15, 2023 and your application fee is waived.
