The recent rains/ hail caused substantial damage @ my house, one huge 60 ft Indian Cork tree falling down, and bringing down with it our mid sized avocado tree and banana plants, and also my entire granite reinforced orchidarium- knocking off about 100 orchid plants- mostly natural species (not hybrids) that I had painstakingly grown over the years (part of my conservation agenda), with the idea that someday they would be rehabilitated back into the wild....

 

But more than the damage and the resultant hiccups that it may have caused, I was simply awed by the force and power of nature. Some pictures from home and a nice video of the same hail storm taken at KGA.
