to Fellowship for Accurate Courtroom Testimony (FACT)
Dear colleagues,
It has now been a little over a year since anyone has posted to this
group. So, I believe we must now decide whether to continue to keep
FACT active. I suspect that there's been nothing resembling a
resolution of the problem of dishonesty in the courtroom, but it
appears that no one has anything to share. I was hoping that people
would post their experiences with the problem, but almost no one has.
Another thought was that we might gather together the various expert
witness guidelines among the medical specialties in the hope of
working to make them similar, if not identical. We could still do
these things if anyone's interested. My thought at this point is to
keep the group on-line for another two weeks, but if there are no
projects or opinions to share, to remove it at that time. Whatever
happens, let's continue as interested individuals if not as an
affinity group to search for ways to make the medical tort system as
ethical and worthy of respect as possible. My best wishes and thanks
to all of you for your concern.
