Iris Wilson presents FELA! Let Music Be The Weapon. Join us for an Author Reading of, FELA! Let Music be the Weapon, written by author, dancer, and educator Iris Wilson and illustrated by her son Nangwaya Gibson. Nangwaya will be demonstrating some of his illustrations from the book. It is a family friendly book about the life of Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Released by Kalakuta Sunrise Publishing, FELA! Let Music be the Weapon is written in a poetic format, and introduces children age 6 and above to the life of Fela Kuti; from his education throughout his journey as a musician. Book signing to follow.
