Guys I need help. I didn't open magisk for a while and yesterday when tryed to update via app it would download but wouldn't start the installation. I restarted the phone and when opening app it says: "Upgrade to full magisk manager to finish the setup. Download and install?" When I hit OK it starts to buffer and gives me the same message. If I press cancel it just exits the app so I can't get in. Current magisk manager is 7.5.1 and magisk version is 17 or 18, not sure. Magisk hide is on(app is still renamed in app tray). I'm on lineage os 17.1 (android10), phone is Poco f1. I do have backup in twrp made on fresh install if that can help. What do U guys recommend?Thanks

I started with a clean slate: eOS 0.14q. Download and install OTA eOS 0.15q and reboot.
Install twrp to device by flashing the installer zip, reboot device. Check twrp recovery present ,ok.
Install Magisk with twrp, reboot and finish setup on device by touching Magisk app and following prompts.
(Note: Magisk v22.1 would not complete the on device set up. I uninstalled it and tried v22.0 which did work. Updated it in the app to 22.1)

I booted back on the patched img via fastboot, here magisk app is on 26.1 and it says magisk is installed on 25.2, it gives me the option to Update to second slot after OTA.
Still gettin bootloops.

After another boot to the patched os, magisk says Dein Gerät benötigt ein Reflash von Magisk, um richtig zu funktionieren. Bitte Magisk innerhalb der App neu installieren, der Widerherstellungsmodus kann keine korrekten Geräteinformationen abrufen.

Note: if you had installed Magisk using a custom recovery earlier or had upgraded Magisk from Magisk Manager app, you would be having a backup of stock boot image under /data/ with directory name(s) starting as magisk_backup_ followed by some random characters. If you fail to find that backup, than search the internet to get a legitimate full OTA / fastboot image for your currently installed Android build. The boot image there is your stock boot image and can be flashed instead.

When the file finishes downloading, tap the "Download complete" notification to open it. If this is your first time sideloading an app on this device, you'll see a prompt saying your browser isn't allowed to install apps. Tap "Settings" on this prompt, then enable the switch next to "Allow from this source" on the next screen. Then, hit your back button once and press the "Install" button.

Once the Magisk Manager app gets repackaged, it'll ask you to upgrade to the full version to finish the setup. Tap "OK," then it'll do a few final touches before it takes you back to the main screen. Notice the random "com" package name for Magisk Manager, this means everything worked correctly. Now, onto the next part of hiding your root status from these games.

This still resulted in the same error, so my next idea was to prevent the upgrade process from installing Firefox. So I created the apt preference file /etc/apt/preferences.d/firefox-no-snap.pref with the following configuration:

Hi,i have problem with magisk ,i instaled twrp recovery and install magisk i got root ,root give me access by superuser ,and everithing is ok ,but i need some aplication for buckup data ,like Titanijum buckup or File explorer but that program not have root,superuser grant the access but program need super su,or what?
I need root to buck up data and many programs not work with magisk ,i try magisk 18.1,18.0.16.4 etc but is the same,my android is 8.1.0 oreo,can you help me ?thank you in advance.

I flash magisk su and installed magisk manager BT my phone is still unroofed why. But I flashed resurrection remix android pie. Is there another way to root phone which installed resurrection remix(gsi)

will magisk manager work on my already rooted android screen in my car running android 10 so I can watch skygo as at the moment just comes with error 99z does not work on rooted devices or is there a better way or a cracked apk for skygo
