Sorryto say that Dr. Sahib gives pti manifesto after every 3 months which is never followed by the captaan and his associates. There is always violation of it. First Dr. Sahib answer and clarify this issue then talk something else.
The one thing that I have been waiting in every show, every read and column and analysis about Imran Khan is there in this article. Deep down I knew that Imran Khan would have known this but it is a relief to get confirmation ... yes it will put a great deal of responsibility on his shoulders.
He has said on many occassions that he does not need "politics", he does not need "power" ... and I was wary on those occassions ... I want Imran Khan to make it his very own, closer to heart goal to save Pakistan. If contemporaries of Imran Khan have the knowledge of stressful responsibility ... it is gonna put on him ... then it will all be fine.
@Nadir El-Edroos:what i fail to understand is people like you Mr Nadir think they know everything, where as u dont. Our country is in dire straits and your constantly criticizing IK. I usually see ur comments on every article and ur usually criticizing people. And i have a Question for u Mr Know-everything, is there a better option than IMRAN KHAN? Let me enhance ur knowledge, no politician is perfect. Imran Khan cannot bring a change overnight. And if u think he has so many problems why dont u make a political party rather then commenting on blogs? its easy to criticize but when u enter a field and sacrifice everything for pakistan its another ball game. people like you are happy earning money they dont care about Pakistan... sad !!! though im not a PTI supporter but certainly im going to vote for IK. we cant imagine nawaz or zardari ruling our country again... Next time use ur head :) peace!
ZAB played with fire and he got burnt. Today Imran Khan is doing the same, and his fate shall be the same too.We must realize that while IK might be a good person, Pakistan is no Shaukat Khanum and it can not be a one man show. This article has no weight when it comes to the credibility of Imran Khan. It is more the creation of a symbol 'My Kaptaan' just as ZAB created 'Roti Kapra aur Makaan'. Pakistan is no cricket ground Dr Alvi, we need to snap out of this Imran Khan phenomena or be prepared to face another catastrophe of the hands of another immature political party.Although, I do not support any political party to its entirety, we must let PPP stay for another term. Mainly because it knows how to deal with the complexities of this nation. A knight in shining armour only works in fantasy tales...
To all those portraying Imran Khan as the ultimate savior of Pakistan, I can bet zillions that they WILL be lamenting on the same woes in a much more magnified way than today. Why personality worship again? Treating the patient instead of treating the disease? The only reason I find for voting in favor of Imran Khan is just because NOT TO VOTE for all the existing ones, else, on the political front, he is no lesser evil. Recycling the garbage and trash of all other parties, somersaults in favor and against of the same parties, is this not enough to show his political acumen? ANY single candidate with credibility he has come up with? Inviting Shah Mehmood Qureshi to his party as he was the best foreign minister of Pakistan who kicked back USA into her socks? Calling Ch. Shujaat as the only opposition party while the whole of Baluchistan provincial cabinet and CM was proving otherwise, endorsing MQM and Altaf Hussain just because of a statement against drone attacks? What practical measures did MQM come up with to have this endorsement? Calling the longmarch as hijacked WAY after the longmarch, where was he and where was his hostility against the PMLN leaders and where were his opinions and supporters on the call off of the longmarch, why he and his supporters including those of APDM and Jamaat e Islami not resent at that very moment? I regret to say, if this is the standard of political maturity and TRUTHFULNESS and HONESTY, I believe we have much better people with a much better leadership in the shape of Zardari today. We either accept the failure of the nation on front of morals and values, and call or a need of reform and bring out leaders, or we keep on shifting from one devil to another deep sea devil.
Useless effort to link Kaptaan with The ZAB, you are comparing a person who hasnot achieved any thing yet with a person who run the countries for years, offcourse you cannot compare a a cricket legend to a country ruler............... Kaptaan need to achieve alot before making a comparison with ZAB. But I do hope Kaaptaan achieves his mission, because if he fails, the hopes of Millions will fail !
@ RealistYou are right, Kaptaan can never become BhuttoKaptan can never order to open fire on the protesters in Liaquat Bagh,Kaptan can never say "Udher Tum, "Idher Hum"Kaptan can never make "Azzulfiqar" to kill pplsIts all can do your Bhutto only
ZAB was representing Pakistan at the UNO while not even 30 years old. He became a federal minister when he was 30 years old. At 33 he became a foreign minister. Imran Khan even today cannot even carry ZAB's shoes. This is the same as we say "from Imran Khan to my Kaptan Shahid Afridi"! Partisan politics is fine but not the white lie.
Total lies. Only few hundred, under age kids were around Imran Khan and writer called it a Tsunami. No wise person in Faisalabad was interested in a beardless Mullah. Could you please Mr. Writer, name five consituenties in which Imran is sure to win? I am sure this thought will spoil your whole day. Arrange a hideout like Mr. Laden, because after election Imran will be hunting people like you.
I wish that your Captain wins but it is bit too optimistic in my view as he still has to prove in the coming election whether people trust him enough to vote for him. The major draw back he can suffer is not having experience or seasoned politican on his side. Lack of winning candidates could upset the calculation you and your team may have done.
Even if Imran Khan doesn't deliver, at least there is a chance worth taking with him, if he fails I am afraid Pakistan will become Somalia, Sudan type while the rest of Asia rises because all the other parties are full thugs with self interest. For all the critics of Imran Khan, if they have another option please suggest, else they should shut up and be content with the miserable lives destined for us Pakistanis.
In Pakistan we find false prophets all the time. ZA Bhutto was a fake progressive. He's hugely responsible for the massacre of 10 million Bengalis in 1970 and 1971. His greed is responsible for splitting Pakistan in two.
Now we talk about Imran Khan. A man who has no agenda but to say whatever will get him big crowds. He does not understand the core challenges Pakistan faces and is a terrorist sympathizer. He has dharnas against drone strikes but he does not care about minorities or victims of terrorist attacks.
Let's be rational. If Imran Khan is the best leader Pakistan has to offer, I might suggest all of you still in Pakistan think about whether you like the warm, dry heat of the UAE or would prefer the more temperate climate of the US. If you have an advanced education, you should come to the US. If you don't, go to Dubai. Otherwise, stay in Pakistan and watch Imran Khan bring it to further ruin.
Imran khan is far better leader than Zulfiqar....... ZUlfiqar emerged from the dictator's womb divided the country into pieces for his personal lust of power......where IMRAN KHAN has always made the nation proud and once again he will lead from the front to prove to these pseudo intelect that he is the real hero the real leader ......!!!
Other than Jinnah, name one great leader of his stature during Pakistan movement. Name one person other than Bhutto when bhutto came into power (and dont count corrupt feudals). The point is revolutions are brought about by visionaries not a "tola". IK doesnt have big names, but he has a team of sincere and capable individuals,His party's first 100 days plan is a testimont to that. Yes it would be nice to see some big names standing beside him, Yes IK is not perfect, but during these dark ages, he is the only beacon of hope. These IK skeptics are either supporters of the corrupt status quo or hopelessly passemist. Its no use trying to changing their mind.
To criticize is always easy, The difficult part is to present solution.I will love to hear from the people who criticize Imran Khan if they can provide a better alternative option, otherwise please do not try to undermine the efforts of Imran Khan. He may be new in politics but he is only hope for many persons in Pakistan, compared to every other politician.
the lack of tolerance in the ppl of pakistan is clearly evident from the comments thread that followed. the honourable writer gave his views and nothing in the article accused ZAB for anything directly...the writer said that he had his views abt ZAB not that he imposed those views on anybody. also the comparison is great and i shall leave a question for the readers to answer....r u really ready to vote for the present PPP and PML-N leaders if not IK's PTI??
@ Sadaf Baig, is it a surprise that Pakistan is where it is when educated people like yourself cannot distinguish between so called noise on corruption and actually having a valid stand against the issue which is eating this country from within. The mere thought that you think of it as noise is disgusting to say the least.
Good Intentions translate into good strategies and policies Imran Khan has leadership and integrity something which is required at this point in time, he has given solutions time and again if only you bother to get off your high horse and understand them people like you can only see the negative.
I know off so many leaders within PTI,PPP, MQM, PML N, PML F, JI JUI F, APML, because i bother to read and research on issues facing this country and the options i have but you dont because you sit on your behind all day and criticise not bothering to get up and find out yourself, you people want everything fed to you dont want to work for anything and anyone.
