Taranaki Toy Run Weekend Jaunt.

Usually is first Saturday in December leaving Back Beach Motoroa,New
Plymouth 10.30am and going via SH3A from NP-Inglewood,stopping at
Stratford.Then onto Hawera for sausage sizzle at Salvation Army church
at lunchtime.Then onto Opunake and finaaly back at NP.

Proposal would be leave Palmy at 5.30PM Friday night or when ever
people wish to and ride to NP,arriving say 9.00pm,accomodation at
Sunflower Lodge backpackers opposite NP racecourse on Timandra St.
Also at www.sunflowerlodge.co.nz.Approx cost is $20-25pp night.Either
have a meal when all set up at accomodation or enjoy a few queit
drinks.

Saturday morning breakfast and meet at starting point in time,and
enjoy round the mountain.Back at lodge for night and enjoy meal and
drinks Saturday evening,not sure but bbq maybe available.The lodge is
run by KB'er Boob Johnson,and is very clean and tidy with good parking
and facilities.

Sunday head home,maybe via a trip up the mountain at Stratford,and via
a few backroads from there to south of Hawera,then either option of
back roads from Wanganui to home,or main road home depending on how we
feel.

This could be done as a single night ride if leaving early Saturday
from Palmy,suggest allowing 1 &3/4 hour to Hawera,stop for 30 mins,and
about 45 mins to NP,3 hours should see you close to NP,if running
late,then you could wait at Inglewood.
