In Neighbours from Hell, the player take control of Woody, an average man who seeks revenge on his neighbour Mr Rottweiler by performing tricks on him, all of which is secretly caught on camera for a reality TV show of the same name. In each level, the aim is to complete a set amount of pranks on Rottweiler, whilst keep out of sight of him; if Rottweiler spots and catches Woody, the level ends in failure and the player must restart it. The game itself sees players moving between various rooms in the house, such as the kitchen and hallway, via their doors, with levels grouped into "seasons"; as the player progresses to new seasons, the player gains access to more rooms with more challenging prank puzzles to complete.
Woody is an average man who has a happy life, until his neighbor Mr. Rottweiler makes his life miserable. Woody decides to take full revenge on Mr. Rottweiler and calls up a TV crew, which produces the self-titled reality show that shows the neighbor's relations from worst sight.
A remaster, named Neighbours back From Hell, was released on October 8, 2020 for consoles and PC by Vienna-based developer FarbWorks and HandyGames (a publishing division owned by THQ Nordic), and contains both the first game and the sequel, remastered and reworked in HD and at high framerates. It received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and fans.[23][24]
In 2004 a sequel was released, called Neighbours from Hell 2: On Vacation. In this game, instead of being in a house, the player travels to various locations around the world. This time the player must have their caution turned to the mom of the Neighbour as well, if they do not want to be caught.

Each level's goal is to play some crude tricks on your neighbor by using every item near your character. Each stage has 4 or 5 zones (Not including the training stages). You must move Woody from zone to zone, The Neighbor moves with them as time goes by. Sometimes you can distract him with different ways (such as call him to make him go downstairs) or he gets distracted automatically (For example, painting, washing clothes, and so on.) He has pets watching over him, such as a parrot named Chilli. The game starts with only few rooms (the hall, bathroom, kitchen and the living room), but as the game progresses, more rooms are unlocked (in Season 2 is the balcony and bedroom, and in Season 3 is the basement and study), making the game more difficult.
We've all encountered Neighbours from Hell at one point or another, watering their plants where you're trying to line dry your laundry, or deciding to do some loud DIY home- repairs early on a Saturday morning. That seems bad, but believe me, that's nothing compared to the antics awaiting you, and your neighbours, in this game.
The curious but descriptive title, Neighbours from Hell, points to an original and friendly adventure in which your mission is to make life miserable for your neighbor, pulling all the pranks you can think of.
[For those who dont know]: "Neighbours from hell" are 2 games, in which you play Woody, whos goal is to prank your Neighbour Mr. Rottweiler for TV show we host. First game is about you[Woody] setting antics on Rottweiler(For example putting Shaving gel instead of Whipped cream on his pie or making him sit on fart bag). In second game Mr. Rottweiler goes on vacation with his mom and his girlfriend(Unlike the Rottweilers, she doesnt see you as a punching bag).
In second game my theory gets a bit stronger. Rottweiler goes on vacation from China to India and to Mexico on cruise. In China: Besides getting cannonball into melon, Making him break brick, Getting dragged to sky by firework is probably the worst physical things we has done[Excluding the mental damage]. In India we probably get 3 people out of job. First one is bartender, who we make drunk for some bucket DURING HIS JOB(I dont know how laws in India work, but here in Eastern Europe, getting drunk during work can cause serious damage). Second one is Fakir, who accidentally burns Mr. Rottweiler, and last one is another Fakir who picks up snake elevator and accidentally causes fall damage. I dont remember much from the Mexico besides breaking a boat, violating ruins and causing property damage(Almost every single level in games is property damage). THE STRONGEST POINT I CAN GET IS THE LAST LEVEL IN THE SECOND GAME:
The neighbours from hell return! In this HD Remaster of the beloved childhood gems Neighbours From Hell 1 and 2, you play the star of a cheeky TV Show who is constantly pranking his nasty neighbour in the most creative and hilarious ways. You want to replace a candle with a firework? What about replacing the shaving cream with the whipped cream? Go for it!
In the first game, Woody has had to put up with the worst of Rottweiler's behavior. Eventually, Woody can take no more and gets his own back on Mr. Rottweiler via various pranks. Rottweiler becomes the main target of these extremely dangerous pranks. The first game is set in Rottweiler's house with pranks taking place in different rooms. The characters involved are predominately Rottweiler and Woody. He finds it amusing to be mean and cruel to those who live around him and makes their lives miserable. Woody has had enough of the abuse from his obnoxious neighbor Mr. Rottweiler. Woody decides to get revenge through a series of pranks. Each time a prank is successful Mr. Rottweiler becomes more and more angry.
In the second game, Neighbours from Hell 2: On Vacation, Mr. Rottweiler goes on vacation with his mother. Instead of allowing Mr. Rottweiler to enjoy his vacation, Woody follows him and continues with his pranks even though Rottweiler is no longer terrorizing Woody or his neighbors. In this game, Mr. Rottweiler is on vacation and his appearance is sleazy so he wears a small pair of leopard print Speedo trunks throughout the game. It is unclear as to why Woody decides to follow Rottweiler and continue the pranks. It is perhaps slightly unfair because Rottweiler is not doing anything terrible and is trying to enjoy his vacation. However Rottweiler is an evil and terrible person so therefore deserves to be punished on vacation too. Rottweiler's behavior in the second game is slightly better. Although he does spy on Olga, while she is taking a shower and torments Olga's child.
In Neighbours from Hell 2: On Vacation, his appearance is less slob like and more sleazy. He wears just a pair of leopard print brief Speedo trunks throughout the game. In addition he has a gold chain. This goes with his loud obnoxious showing off while on vacation. The fact that he has chosen to wear leopard pattern Speedos shows that he is confident and egotistical thinking a lot of himself. It is also quite likely that he is wearing his Speedos to impress Olga, the woman he spies on. It seems to work as Olga does not find Rottweiler or his sleazy Speedos disgusting as she spends time with him on several dates. He is still wearing the pink flip-flops.
Neighbours From Hell arrived to some consternation from the staff, followed by a slight amount of passing around, until eventually it fell down to me. It's like a helter-skelter effect with new games, you see: one look at the box, or a quick five minutes, usually determines who's going to get the game, with the really odd ones spiralling down through the ranks until they arrive on my lap. Neighbours From Hell got to the bottom rung pretty quickly it has to be said, but after a day or so I'm certainly not complaining, which really is quite unexpected.
But that's pretty much it. Excruciating brevity is Neighbours From Hell's most hideous drawback, and we can't imagine you sat there a week from purchase playing the same levels over and over. There's a disturbing lack of variety as well, as each season merely opens up a new room or two - the basement or the bedroom, for example - in the same neighbour's house, heightening the tension slightly by giving the neighbour more opportunity to stumble across you, but never really offering much in the way of fresh objectives or scenery to look at.
It's a shame Neighbours From Hell couldn't have been more expansive. The concept is fantastic, and for a while it's pulled off very well, but once you've electrocuted, burned, pricked, poisoned and injured the poor guy for more than an hour or so, you will find yourself hankering for more neighbours to visit and more houses to terrorise. We wouldn't blame you for changing the channel when they don't come.
