Candidates who successfully pass this certification exam have demonstrated the ability to set up, run, and examine the results of various types of Simulation scenarios. They also have demonstrated the ability to interpret the various results available to them in SOLIDWORKS Simulation and an understanding of the basics of simulation and FEA.
Take the Exam
Note: You must use at least SOLIDWORKS Standard and SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional 2011 or SOLIDWORKS Student Edition 2011 or later for this exam. Any use of a previous or lower version will result in the inability to open some of the testing files or access some of the needed functionality.
To introduce you to the exam format and to ensure that you are comfortable with the method of answering the exam questions, a practice quiz is provided before you begin your attempts at the full exam simulation. You may take this quiz as many times as you wish. The educational content of the quiz is just as important as what is contained in the exam simulation.
To help you prepare for the exam, we offer different types of practice, including practice questions and a mock exam, with our Learning Ecosystem. As you work your way through the curriculum, we recommend pausing to answer practice questions, assessing your level of confidence and accuracy along the way. Then, in advance of the exam, take a mock exam, which mimics the exam-day experience as closely as possible.
Practice questions are based on lessons in the curriculum to help you evaluate your topic-level strengths and weaknesses. All questions are rooted in the current curriculum, and they are in the same format as the questions on the actual exam level you are registered for. You will receive in-time feedback on your answers, including detailed explanations for the correct answer.
Mock exams are designed to replicate the timing and structure of the exam. Mock exams, also known as question banks, are posted in the Learning Ecosystem about two months before the date of your exam.
In terms of structure, each mock exam consists of the same topic area weights and level of difficulty as the actual exam. Questions are based on the current curriculum for the exam level you registered for, and they are in the same format as the questions on the actual exam.
The CHSE examination is a maximum of two hours in duration unless an extension has been requested and approved. There are 115 questions on the examination. All questions are multiple-choice questions with 4 options from which to select the answer. All questions on the examination must map to at least one of the items in the CHSE examination blueprint (pdf). examination blueprint (Spanish pdf) examination blueprint (Chinese pdf)
When the application has been approved, SSH will notify the exam company, ISOQuality Testing, Inc (IQT). The candidate will receive an email from IQT with instructions to schedule the exam. From date of approval and notification, there is 90 days to complete the exam. The candidate should plan to schedule to take the examination during this 90-day period of time.
Candidates are now able to schedule and sit for the CHSE or CHSOS exam from the safety of their home or work. Working with our exam administration partner, Prometric, we have implemented a remote proctoring solution that is available to all candidates around the world. You will need a camera, microphone, quiet and well-lit room, and clean area if you wish to utilize this testing solution.
SSH has worked to add additional locations for testing as appropriate. These locations can be found when selecting your date, time, and location to take the exams (they will appear 90 days ahead of the date of the exams).
The results of the examination are normally available on completion of the exam, either on the screen, or by a printed results sheet (dependent on testing site). Scoring is completed using a scaled score due to the multiple forms used, a 700 is required to pass. Each correct answer is counted towards the total score, there is no penalty for incorrect answers. Each form is equated to provide an equal chance to pass with this 700 score.
Results are either given as Pass or Fail. Passing results have no further information provided (no scale score). Fail results provide both the scale score as well as the percentage of questions answered completely in each domain. This is the only information provided to each individual. No review of individual questions or of the whole exam forms is permitted.
If you were unsuccessful on the CHSE exam, you make take it again. Candidates may take the examination once every 90 days, and no more than four (4) times in a calendar year. Use the information from the previous exam to determine what further study you need.
Hi all, after passing the CSWA exam at the weekend I've been working through the essential training course. I've just started doing the simulation part of the course so still learning at the moment.
So I was just wondering would it be worth doing Cswa simulation exam and adding to the CV to help land a Junior role? Or should I just practise as much as I can for several months (6+ I'm guessing) - gain a bit more experience and sit the CSWPA Simulation version? After the CSWP exam.
Today we are going to reveal the best way to approach the Information Gathering sections of the NBRC Simulations exam. The strategy we will use will help you obtain as many points as possible in order to buffer the more difficult Decision Making sections of the exam.
Also, keep in mind, most of these examples are pathology dependent and should not be selected unless you feel it will give you some beneficial info. They are going to be more expensive and time-consuming so you do not want to select these due to a fear of missing something.
The ACM certification exams are all pass/fail exams developed to measure minimum competence in case management practice. The certification is earned by passing both a Core (multiple choice) exam and a Specialty Simulation exam. A score report is issued for each portion of the exam indicating pass or fail. Additional detail is provided in the form of raw scores by major content category on the Core score report, and a raw score for Information Gathering (IG) and Decision Making (DM) on the Specialty Simulation score report. A raw score is the number of questions (points) answered correctly. Pass/fail status is determined by the raw score. Pass rates are reviewed at each NBCM meeting to look for abnormalities or trends.
Scores for test candidates who did not successfully pass both the Core and Specialty Simulation exams, but did pass one of them, are kept on file for six months from date of issue. If retesting does not occur within six months, or if both portions of the exam are not successfully passed within six months, the original passing score cannot be applied toward certification and the candidate will be required to sit for the entire examination. Candidates can re-apply to take only the portion of the examination they did not pass, if retest occurs within the six (6) month period. There is no limit to the number of times a candidate can retest during the six (6) month period. Re-testers take a different form of the exam upon each time a re-test is attempted.
Each Specialty Simulation will have separate scores and minimum pass levels for both the DM and IG questions. One score for IG is determined by adding the IG MPLs for all the problems. One score for DM is determined by adding the DM MPLs for all the problems. Passing only one of the two sections will not result in an overall passing score. To assist candidates in evaluating their performance on the Specialty Simulation examination, scores are provided for both IG and DM sections. Candidates must achieve passing scores in both IG and DM on the entire exam to successfully complete this exam portion. Additionally, candidates must achieve passing scores on the IG and DM sections as well as the multiple-choice examination to earn the ACM credential.
All ACM exams include unscored pre-test items, and examinees have no way of distinguishing these items from the scored items. This testing method allows for the collection of important statistics about how pre-test items perform on the exam, which informs the final decision about whether a particular question meets the standards for inclusion as a scored item on future exams. To ensure the best possible testing result, candidates should treat each question as if it is being used in the final exam computation.
Objective: Public health nursing courses typically incorporate clinical components but rarely offer simulation education as part of clinical practice. There is limited research examining the impact of simulation for public health nursing courses on final exam scores. The objective of this study was to determine the impact of simulation training on final exam scores in a public health nursing course.
Sample: Using a convenience sample, final exam scores were compared between nursing students (n = 79) who participated in a public health nursing simulation and two similar student groups (n = 97) that did not participate in simulation.
Results: Students with simulation training scored higher in both public health domains (Community Health; Clinical Prevention and Population Health). A significant difference in total mean final scores (p = .04; p = .02) was noted between groups of students with simulation training and those without.
The combined O&P written exam is a three-and-a-half-hour, multiple-choice exam consisting of 200 questions designed to measure your general knowledge of patient management. General knowledge assessed on the exam includes anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, disease process, pathologies, prescription criteria, material science, ethics and professionalism.
The simulation exam assesses your problem-solving skills through an interactive format. The simulations imitate lifelike situations an orthotist or prosthetist might encounter in daily clinical practice. The simulation includes seven problems. You will have three hours to complete this exam.
