As the inventor of the PDF file format, Adobe makes sure our Acrobat PDF to Word converter preserves your document formatting. When you use our online conversion tool, your fonts, images, and alignments will look as expected. The converted file is an editable Word document that you can start using right away in Microsoft Word online.

You can also try Adobe Acrobat Pro free for seven days to convert files to and from Microsoft 365, edit PDF documents with PDF editor tools, edit scanned documents using optical character recognition (OCR) functionality, merge PDFs, organize or rotate PDF pages, split PDFs, reduce file size, and convert HTML, TXT, RTF, PNG, JPG, BMP, and other formats to PDF.

If you wish to bypass OneDrive entirely, another option is to use iTunes' file Sharing option to transfer the files into the Microsoft Word app, or another "On your iPad" location of your choice via its USB cable.

The only reason it may not show up when connected directly to the iPad is if its formatted in a way the iPad cannot read such as NTFS for Windows, or APFS for Mac. iPadOS supports HFS+, and Fat/exFat formats.

With the correct helper-App installed (OneDrive in this case), you can simply use your native Apple Files App to navigate to the OneDrive folder in which you Word files are stored - then simply copy them to your iPad local storage as needed. You can create local folders as you require.

I also have the files on an external harddrive, but when I connect the harddrive to the iPad's usb C, and in Files tap More and then 'Select' and 'Connect to Server' - it asks for the server name. Which I don't know (in Window Explorer, you can choose the application).

I used the 'connect to server' option because an Apple support page recommended it to get in contact with external drives. But thank you for a very useful information about various formats - you cannot read that in any Apple support page (as far as I have seen). My harddrive is formatted so I can use it with my pc, didn't know that Apple couldn't use the same formatting.

Transfer articulation guides are prepared for you to help you enroll in courses that will transfer to UIW and apply toward your degree. The guides prepared are for those junior/community colleges from the Alamo Colleges, from which we routinely receive a large number of transfer students. From the listing below, select the degree program you will pursue; each document contains guidelines for each of the five campuses of the Alamo Colleges District.

Alison, this is a huge problem in my first grade class. Not only do they forget to transfer the word work patterns to writing but to reading. I really like your ideas on editing. I am going to have them find examples in text as part of word work and guided reading. I am starting to think that this will help. Thanks

I am windering if students could voice record their writing and use it to either write the story or make corrections to a piece of writing. This way they can focus on writing the words or looking for errors instead of spending energy trying to write and create/read at the same time.

Thank you for a great article and explanation. With regards to writing, I wonder if kiddos have automaticity with their letter writing ability, if that helps too?
I love the COPS idea for kiddos to use to reread their writing multiple times checking for capitalization, organization, punctuation and spelling. Is that available on your tpt site?

Thanks Alison. Lots of great ideas here. Do you have any suggestions for words that are high frequency/ sight words e.g. there, they, where, were, was, said. I teach middle primary and still have kids reverting back to spelling these words incorrectly when writing more substantial pieces of writing.
Thanks.

If you use the Zotero word processor plugin to add citations to your document and then open the document in another word processor, the Zotero citation links will be lost. To retain active Zotero citations when moving between programs, you can use the plugin to convert the document to a temporary format that can be safely transferred and then restore it in another supported word processor.

A primary factor for transfer admissions is the student's cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). A minimum of a of 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) is required for unconditional admission. However, a 2.5 GPA does not guarantee admissions into all UIW programs. Students with a GPA lower than 2.5 may be admitted at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. The Committee reserves the right to place additional conditions or requirements upon the acceptance of such a student.

Additional factors considered for admission may include, but are not limited to: letters of recommendation, personal statements, interview(s), extracurricular activities and previous work experience. Applications are accepted throughout the year for all academic terms. The application process should be completed in a timely manner to allow sufficient time for processing.

All admitted students must submit final official transcripts from each institution attended before the beginning of the fall semester. Students with fewer than 24 college credit hours are also required to submit an official high school transcript or official GED scores. Final documents may be submitted to admiss...@uiwtx.edu or physically mailed to the address below.

Many WOLBI courses will transfer to Liberty University as required courses for your degree. However, some courses may transfer as electives, meaning that they will not apply specifically toward your Degree Completion Plan (DCP). If you feel a transferred course is equivalent to a required course on your DCP, you can submit a Completed Course Evaluation request.

Sometimes, we may need to work from home outside of the company. At this moment, remote file transfer would be of great help to you. Here, we would like to suggest AnyViewer, a free remote file transfer tool that enables you to send files remotely between computers.

Cloud storage service is also an option to transfer files between computers. Technically, a cloud storage service is more like a backup tool allowing you to back up and sync your files to your cloud and then download it whenever and wherever you want.

Step 2. Then type in the email addresses that have been logged in to another computer behind To. Click the attachment icon below to choose the files you want to transfer. Click Send to start sending files to the other computer.

The main focus of this post is on teaching readers how to transfer Word documents from one computer to another. In particular, AnyViewer, cloud services, emails, and USB drives are introduced as 4 options. They are each listed according to their advantages. Choose based on your personal preferences.

Sometimes it seems like we do all this phonemic awareness and word work prep to get it to be memorable for our students, and they STILL struggle with transferring the skills and knowledge. This is not a new dilemma. Teachers have struggled with this issue forever.

We need to use our mini lessons in writing to teach the transfer. Modeling how we figure out words as we write helps student transfer those skills. As we model writing, we can model writing words we know but struggle with recalling. Additionally, we need to model how and when to just leave a word the way it is and fix it later.

When we first moved 2 years ago, I used my nav on my phone to help me get around. Sounds like a smart idea, especially for someone specially challenged, right? Well, it was for a bit. But, a year later I was still having some struggles getting around without it. I finally realized I needed to wean myself from the nav to help my brain create a mental map of the area. I started pulling up a map on my computer before I had to go anywhere and looking at the route. I planned my trip, made sure I left myself extra time and off I went. Keeping my phone handy just in case, I grappled with my growing mental map to find my way. Within a week, I rarely needed any help getting around within 20 miles, and within a month I had the outlying areas firmly in my mental grasp. Why? I created a system to help me be successful while I struggled through the process.

All courses completed with a grade of D- or higher that are normally considered part of an associate or bachelor degree program will transfer to the University of the Incarnate Word. The cumulative grade point average at UIW is based upon all hours attempted, regardless of the grade earned, and includes both transfer and UIW credits.

Although courses in which a student has earned a grade of D- or higher will be accepted in transfer, no grade less than a "C" may be applied to fulfill course requirements in the major, minor, concentration, teaching field, specialization or support work. Pre-requisites required for courses in the major, minor, concentration, teaching field, specialization or support work must also be completed with a grade of C or higher. If a D- is accepted in transfer for these requirements, the student must repeat the course to fulfill the requirement.
