I am trying to record a VHS USB capture to Quicktime. I never used to have this issue but the device no longer comes up in the QuickTime camera settings. I assume this is due to an update. It works as an audio device however. As you can see it's the ezcap usb audio device. When I go onto VLC to try and use that instead it does come up with a video signal so it's not an issue with the capture device. I just can't figure out how to tell Quicktime that it is a camera that I can record from.
it could be that the driver for the USB capture device is not supported for big sur. the device i use is from a different vendor than yours. it, too, is not compatible with big sur. just like yours, on big sur, it shows up as an audio device, but does not show up under camera. rather than return it to said vendor and shop for a replacement, i installed catalina on an external samsung T7 SDD. i then downloaded the driver and voila, the device worked properly.
Analog technology was used for television and gaming prior to the invention of digital HD (high definition) TV. Analog signals were historically displayed on "tube" TVs with a 4x3 aspect ratio. Tube TVs are still used today by many people that like to play retro games on the original consoles.
With Squad Wall you can play your favorite retro gaming consoles on HD TVs or projectors, to still have the retro game fun, but also play on your newer displays or home theaters. Additionally with Squad Wall you can play multiple consoles at one time on one screen.
Squad Wall will work with many analog capture devices, however the performance of different capture devices vary. Testing is done with the original Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Wii, and Playstation 2 consoles. The same capture devices should work with any analog signals including VCRs, DVD players, etc. Squad Wall has been optimized to allow low to mid-ranged priced capture devices to still provide a great user experience. There are other higher end capture devices that should work well with Squad Wall as well, however the following lower priced devices have been verified to work with Squad Wall.
