Hello dear FTM,

It's been awhile. I've just been informed about a great effort that's
happening on May 1 here in NYC, to provide food (both cooked and in
raw produce form) as a form of mutual aid at the giant Union Square
rally happening all afternoon (check out maydaysolidarity21012.org, or
maydaynyc.org).

The folks organizing it have already got a good load coming in through
some farms in upstate NY; I just said that I would blast this out to
FTM in case people have food, and are feeling like they'd want to get
a shipment together for may day. FTM still has a few hundred dollars
in our bank account, so we could pay for gas for a delivery, and
potentially could pay for the produce, too, subject to everyone's
approval.

If folks are interested in either donating/selling produce, organizing
getting the delivery together up there, or bringing it down to the
city, let us know. Tom Hintze, who is cc'd, will be able to answer
logistical questions, he is working on the effort here in NYC.

Just thought i'd let y'all know.

solid,
Will

Leah and I are coming down on the 30th and may be able to get a shipment together, although we may also have a packed car.  I'll check into it and see what we can do.   Is there cold storage available to keep it well overnight?  I'm imagining it will be greens at this point in the season.
thanks for reaching out,
J

So good to see some movements to feed! Our current over-winter stores
are going to NH/VT Occupy the Upper Valley and Occupy Montpelier May
Day rallies.

We'll be ready to donate more broadly when the abundance begins. We
have several farmers dialed in for 2012.
