Thevoicemail retrieval number is assigned based on the voicemail deposit number and the region. The voicemail retrieval number may not be in the area code as your phone number, however, there will be no long-distance charges associated with retrieving your voicemail.

I know how annoying it can be to get unwanted voicemails! It would be great if we could selectively block certain numbers from leaving us a voicemail. Regrettably, we do not have a feature that can block specific numbers from leaving you a voicemail.

Very disappointing. I am too experiencing this for the past 2 months and have over 20 voicemail that I refuse to listen to. I have contacted this person to stop and they still continue. This blocking number feature is pointless if they can still leave voicemail. And most of the apps that can do this, either doesn't work with android phone or doesn't work in Canada. Please come up with a solution. What if this is a situation of domestic abuse and the victim is still receiving threatening voicemails? Change their number?

Call the voicemail box:Press *86 (*VM) then the Send key.Press and hold number 1 to use the voicemail speed dial.If calling from another number, dial the 10-digit mobile phone number then press # to interrupt the greeting.

Since I ported my number from Rogers, I am not able to receive calls from any Rogers network. My friends who are using Rogers number texted me told me that my number is going directly into voicemail.

I just switched over to Bell from Rogers 2 weeks ago and I can't receive any calls from Roger phone numbers. When a Rogers phone tries to call me it tells them "Please enter the number of the person you are trying to leave a voice mail for" when the person enters my number it tells them "that number does not exist. I can get texts from both fine. I can also call Rogers number and its fine but when they try to call me thats when the issue happens.

You have to call Rogers and make sure they have your number PORTED OUT of their switch. I worked for BELL for 35 years and actually worked in the department that did the porting in/out of numbers, Rogers have to have your # on PODN (ported out in their switch) and Bell has to have you PORTED IN in their switch so all calls coming in amd that you make out work properly. This is if your original number is a Rogers #. If for example you had a bell # and went to Rogers the vice versa would have to be done but if you came back to BELL with a BELL # then Rogers would need to have you UNASSIGNED in their switch.

Just to confirm, your voicemail works on your phone, but not when you try to call it from another phone, is that right? Also, just to confirm, you're calling your own number and then when you hear your greeting message, you presse the # key, right?

The service answers and gives the ordinary request for your number in English and French, but that is the last thing you will hear. Entering your mobile number (with # of course) elicits no reply. Normally, when you key in your number incorrectly you will get some response. Now, nothing. For the last number of days the service is Out of Order!

I ported a Rogers Home Phone (landline/VoIP) number to my PM number. Within about 20 minutes, I was able to send texts, receive texts, and make outgoing calls with the Rogers number; however, 14 hours has passed since the port was requested and incoming calls go straight to voicemail. Is this a sign of a stuck port that needs the assistance of a moderator?

@dust2dust , no apology required. I understand that your reply was general in nature. What you mentioned is relevant in this age of identity theft and is a good reminder to myself and others to be proactive in protecting this sensitive information at all times.

Sorry. I wasn't meaning you in particular. I was meaning Rogers in general. The information you provide can be taken from a bill. There then should be some form of confirmation. Which is the process from cell to cell. But landlines don't generally take texts. So there should be some form of confirmation.

Well I guess if anyone has a Rogers landline account number that they scrounged out of a garbage can out front then they could take the number. There really should be a confirmation of some sort. Identifying you with information not on any bill. Of course they notice the port request and then go on to say that about what will happen. But ... no confirmation from a customer?

If calls are going straight to VM, please check your call blocking features on your phone. I was having that issue myself recently with my iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone XR. I had "block unknown callers" checked off. After the previous Apple update, it started blocking more and more calls I wanted. So I unchecked it, rebooted and everything went back to normal.

until port is completed, 3 to 7 days, your Rogers home will still be able to make and receive calls. Your PM will be able to make calls and text only. Check everyday, reboot phone and call yourself from another phone, the day you find out PM receives calls, porting is done and your Rogers home phone account will be closed as well

We strive to enhance the psychological well-being of students by providing an affirming, confidential, equitable, and safe environment encouraging self-exploration, reflection, and resiliency. With a commitment to a developmental approach enhanced by a social justice lens, we aim to facilitate individual empowerment and growth through meaningful, healthy relationships and community collaboration.

Our views are firmly rooted within a social justice perspective. We recognize that the effects of privilege, oppression, discrimination, stereotypes, and bias are pervasive within individual, systemic, and societal levels. These forces can have profound and harmful influences on student well-being. We strive to be a supportive presence to provide empathic listening, empowerment, and advocacy to mitigate those effects. One of our most important considerations is to minimize potential barriers so all students receive the respect, care, and treatment that they deserve, both within the Center and within the broader university community.

When deciding whether or not to see a counselor, students often wonder if their privacy will be protected. In order to share your private thoughts and feelings, it is necessary to trust that what you say will be kept between you and your counselor.

It is important for you to know that any records of your visit to the Counseling Center do not become part of your academic record/transcripts, nor are they made available to administrators, faculty, or staff of the university outside of the Counseling Center. No one, including your family members, has access to your counseling attendance or records.

In the legal sense, "confidentiality" is something that binds the mental health professional from making disclosure about a client's visit. However, you as a client may talk to whomever you wish about your own counseling experience. From time to time, you may decide that you want to talk about your counseling with a family member or a close friend. That is fully your decision.

Occasionally, situations arise when it might be beneficial to have your counselor provide information or speak to a third party about you. If such a situation occurs, you or your counselor may bring this up for discussion during your meeting together. As you and your counselor consider the potential benefits and disadvantages about sharing this information, you will be better able to make an informed decision.

If you both agree that it would be beneficial for your counselor to do so, you will be asked to sign an authorization to release and to share the information with an outside party. The laws which govern our services require us to "obtain your informed and written consent."

The information to be disclosed may be comprehensive or limited to a specific purpose which fits the situation. No matter who they are for, all consents are in writing, specify who will receive the information, describe what information is to be shared and require your signature.

The Counseling Center follows this requirement with everyone, including your family members, university staff, as well as former or future counselors. You have the right to refuse to provide consent, or to revoke it once it is given.
