not sending emails

I am subscribed to my own feed as well as a few friends, and we are not getting any emails.  I set this up a week ago and know I must not have done it right.  Does anyone know what I need to check for?

I got this message when I tried to view feed under the optimize tab:

This view is not available due to a problem retrieving and parsing your original source feed.
