Hi Brian!

Can you share with us the list of add-ons the feedmail pro team is
working on and if there are any expected completion deadlines? I'm
looking forward to seeing a number of suggestions on
http://feedmailpro.uservoice.com/forums/23600-general implemented, but
not sure if the team is planning to integrate them. For example,
custom name option has the highest votes but is still an open idea.
It'll be great if you can share with us the upcoming plans so we can
have an idea of what to expect.

Hi Celes,

Good question.  We'll probably have the custom name one out in about a month.  Apologies for the delay!

Thank you,
Brian Armstrong

Hi Brian,

That sounds terrific! Really looking forward to it then. I'm sure all
the other feedmailpro users will be waiting in anticipation for this
too.

Separately, is there any newsletter / mailing list we can join for
feedmailpro updates?

Hi Celes,

We might start putting updates here: http://feedmailpro.tumblr.com/

Not sure yet though :)

Thank you,
Brian Armstrong

Hi Celes,

After looking at it for a bit we're reevaluating whether to add this
one. I made a comment on the UserVoice forum. Maybe you can add some
thoughts there:
http://feedmailpro.uservoice.com/forums/23600-general/suggestions/424409-allow-custom-fields-to-collect-name-for-example-

There is a danger of over complicating the product so just want to
make sure it will be widely useful before we add a new feature.
Thanks!
Brian

No problem Brian, I just posted my reply. :)

By the way I've a suggestion Brian, and feel free to disregard it if
you don't see its merit. I think it'll be really fantastic if FMP has
a mailing list where all members are automatically listed on the list
and announcements of any sort are sent through the list. This way all
members will be connected and updated of latest happenings (such as
when servers are upgraded, any down times, etc). It'll also make
things easy for you too Brian, as you can easily solicit for feedback
from members and post latest updates to 1 whole group. On top of that,
it helps to build the community at FMP. I can't resist pointing out
the irony here that FMP is a mailing list service. No better way to
showcase the functions and capabilities than through its own mailing
list! :)

Haha....good point you have there :)  In some ways the Google group is like that but you're right that it doesn't reach out to all members.  I wouldn't want to put all FMP users on the list by default I don't think, since some of them may just consider this extra noise and not want to be involved in day to day changes.  But you're right that it would be useful to have a place to put announcements or updates or down time announcements.  I think for now we will use the Google group to post changes like this in a passive manner, but we may use http://feedmailpro.tumblr.com/ for special announcements going forward.  Thanks for the regular suggestions Celes it's great to have active users of the product :)

Thank you,
Brian Armstrong
