Hi, i have a valid rss on my site, it's also looks good on firefox rss reader

but when i try to look for it on feedly i've notices that items on feedly preview have incorect image (i specify it on item/description node, and it's correct there)

so the question is

1. how feedly.com parse my rss chanel how it guest previews to overlay when buidling a tile
2. is any special namespace or etc on rss for feedly.com to specify an channel item image

  Hi,
Could you share your feed URL? It will help us figure out what's going on.
In general, our servers will fetch the article's HTML page (from your server), parse it, and look for a large image in the main body of the article (to simplify).

http://www.adme.ru/video-of-the-day/prekrasnyj-dubaj-856960/

and Feedly set's for this articles wrong random pictute

i think it's common problem, it would be greater
if u parse at first a description on rss item tag for provided picture

then try to use an meta og:image for your purposes

Hi could do u give some advices - rules, how your servers fetches images?
may be it must be a first on page, or have some class, or have some proper size

what happen's if ours server gives 404 for your image request, is your parser will try to fetch another image. what latency of response u expect

there are still some issues from our readers.

thanks

  Hi,
It's very hard to give guidelines. The feedly server will typically look for the largest visible image tag in the page. If the image tag is generated by Javascript, it won't be able to find it for example. A typical issue is when the page has a very large images displayed in smaller size (e.g. a large resolution site icon, displayed in a small size). The server will do its best to ignore images in comments, but sometimes it fails to detect these elements.
If the image is unavailable or times out, I believe the server will try again later. The whole process happens asynchronously, and is usually triggered by a mobile image requests.
  Hope this helps.
