Order of posts on main

Hi all.
If I'm not wrong, I see that the post are shown in order the were
obtained and not in the order of the post.
I checked the site and it has 2 options
Date Published
Date the post was first obtained
In my case Date published is selected but I think is ordering by when
was obtained since older posts (obtained last) are shown at the top.
Trying to figure it out at the code, but get lost with cache
things...
