email feed no longer working?

Whether intended or not, Feedburner was still sending email subscribers feed updates as recently as a few weeks ago. 

Is this no longer the case?

It was announced about a year and a half ago that we would be turning down email subscription services as part of moving FeedBurner into maintenance mode.  We shifted the old FeedBurner onto the new tech stack a several weeks ago and as part of that effort the email subscription service was permanently turned down. However, you can still export all of your subscribers from FeedBurner by clicking on the overflow menu, the three vertical dots to the right of "Configure proxy" and then select "Export email subscriptions".  

I don't have any official recommendation as to which service to switch over to for email subscriptions but some other popular email services such as MailChimp provide similar subscription services.

Hi Brian, When I export my client's email subscriptions from their feedburner account, I get an empty csv document with just the headings "Email" and "Status." They apparently had a robust account with a lot of subscribers before I was brought in. Is there any way to recover that information or is it all gone? Thank you!

We haven't removed any data from the old system so whatever subscriptions the feed had can be recovered but they all should be present in the new system as well. Sometimes it is the case that there are multiple feeds created and one of them has the subscriptions and the other doesn't. What is the FeedBurner feed in question?  I can take a look.

Hmm.. I don't see any subscriptions in the new system. I'll see what I can find in the old database.

I'll ask. Is it possible for FeedBurner to have collected data even without people subscribing for email updates? Sorry for all the questions, I never had the chance to use FeedBurner prior to it's being … decomissioned.

The only data collected was used for analytics and usage statistics.  In terms of emails, the user would need to manually subscribe to the feed for us to track it.

Ok, so given there isn't any subscriber data, and assuming they didn't have any previous feeds that they deleted, is it accurate for me to tell them they had no subscribers receiving emails from FeedBurner?
