how to re-format last build date in xml

Hello-

I am using AWeber for email broadcasts of feedburner feeds and the
date stamp is too long and complex-looking for my client in the
email. Is there a way to edit the time stamp in the xml area to
shorten the way it displays? Could Feedburner offer this feature in
the future?
