Images not appear in FeedBurner, but do appear in non-FeedBurner feeds

I have a photo blog, otherwise I would have dropped this crazy quest
many hours ago. But since images are an integral part of the blog, I
need to get things working. I have optimized the FeedBurner RSS feed
by enabling: "Smart Feed" and "Browser Friendly"

On each blog post (I'm using WordPress) I enable the "Featured Image"
and am sure to push the, "Use as featured image" button once the image
is uploaded to my media library. It does appear in the "Featured
Image" window on the right of the blog post (in the back end). However
I do NOT select the "Insert into post" button due to the format of my
blog. It seems that neglecting to "insert images into the post" I have
trouble. But.....

When using a standard RSS syndication, the Featured Images from my
blog appear just fine, but they do NOT appear when using FeedBurner
(no images show using Feedburner).

Does anyone have any idea why? Any suggestions/solutions?

So looking at your original feed you see the images?

It may be that Feedburner will only display images that are in the post itself.

@PeggyK: It definitely appears that this may be the case. I was/am
just hoping there is a FB setting I have not tried or a WP setting I
may not have enabled just yet. Maybe I'm being too optimistic. It does
seem strange that you can set a "Featured Image" though and not have
it appear in the feed. When I post the links to hte post into places
such as Facebook or G+ it recognizes the pic and shows it.... but the
FeedBurner feed can't do that. For being so powerful in so many ways,
I'm just surprised, I guess.

There may be some way to customize your Wordpress feed so that Feedburner recognizes those images. But I don't know enough about that to make any suggestions.

Hi there,

i found the solution, and hope it will work for you, as well.

I am using Wordpress 3.2.2

The only thing I did to solve the problem was deactivating the "Summary Burner" in section Optimize in your Feedburner options.

That's it. I was stunned, when all of a sudden, it worked.

You can use the summary option in wordpress instead, but it works with full text as well.

Thanks Boris, it did the trick! On my account the "Summary Burner" was already deactivated, so I've activated it and then deactivated it again! That's all!!! You can now check my feed at http://feeds.feedburner.com/sozopol/feed

Maybe your Wordpress has some prob within it, becoz i am using feedburner too but didnt face that kind of prob at all.

Looks like you enabled Summary Burner in Feedburner. 

In Blogger , are you already using Jump Breaks, or is 

the similar feature offered by the somewhat broken Template ? 

Also, in your Blogger publishing settings, you may want to enable 

'redirect boilnfry.com to www.boilnfry.com'
