Hello all,

I just did a test - added myself - and the stats still show zero subscribers, which can't be right. The blog is www.lifeonthehighwire.com, and the feed is www.lifeonthehighwire.com/feed.

I transferred my previous blog (same URL) from blogger to Wordpress (self-hosted) last year, so is that the problem? If it's an issue of me setting it up wrong I'd love to know how to fix it.

Thanks!

Deonne

What's the feedburner feed URL , and where on the site are there links to it ,
since www.lifeonthehighwire.com/feed is not redirecting to it ?

Last year, are you sure ? The oldest content I can find on your site is from April this year,
yet your Blogger derived feed URL stopped updating in September 2010 - which still has
at least a couple dozen subscribers, despite you serving them a 404 error instead of
redirecting it to a working feed URL.

Matti,

Thanks for writing! I'm embarrassed to say this, but I didn't add any links to my new wordpress site, I assumed it would carry over if the URL was the same. I'm a dork.

And you're right, I might have only changed from Blogger to Wordpress this spring. How/where do I add code to my Wordpress site to fix the problem?

If you have access to your .htaccess file , you could do all the necessary redirecting by editing it.
Otherwise, there are a number wordpress plugins, both for 'wordpress feedburner redirect' and
'wordpress blogger feed redirect'

Do you mean to say that you never imported your Blogger posts into Wordpress ?

Thank god for plug-ins, ha. I'll try one of those. And nope, I never imported from Blogger. Like I said, I'm a dork.

P.S. I set this up using FD Feedburner, and used the feeds.feedburner.com/etc. URL - yes? Not the lifeonthehighwire.com/feed URL.

Is the now-working feedburner feed the same one as the one that showed zero subscribers  ?

Yes, that's the URL shown as "feed address" on feedburner. ("Original feed" was the lifeonthehighwire.com/feed URL.)

Matti,
I am having a similar problem in that all of a sudden i appear to have lost ALL my followers over the course of 2 days.  :-( on friday aug 3rd i have 196 subscribers, the next day 27, and the day after that 0. Now 5 days later it still is showing 0 and i don't know what to do. i'm at my wits end trying to figure out what happened and how to fix it so any help/advice would be most appreciated. i know that there is NO way i lost ALL my subscribers in 2 days especially when i receive an email every time someone subscribes or unsubscribes. i had to take the widget down because this is very much harming my blog and credibility that last week i had nearly 200 subscribers (email & rss) and now have none. :-( it seems like feedburner isn't adding in my email subscribers anymore for some odd reason, though i should still have some followers via rss. has anyone had their numbers put back to where they were before?
i so very much appreciate any assistance.
thank you!
~Jaclyn~

Hello guys;

I have the same problem with by subscriber bar at the top of my page.

This is a completely new blog and the first time that it has been setup. But it still shows zero.

What can I do to get it to show the number of subscribers instead of zero?

Mike.
