The Problem:
The iTunes explicit and author tags within the code for a specific episode contain incorrect information.
Explanation:
Let me preface this with the fact that I did not write nor have access to the original feed code. I created an account and posted an audio file on
mp3.com, which automatically creates an RSS feed for the account. Unfortunately, I found that the feed created by
mp3.com was read as invalid by iTunes ... enter FeedBurner.
After running the feed through FeedBurner, it is now successfully read by iTunes. However, I noticed that the artist name was showing up as "
mp3.com" rather than the actual band name "Mudcat Grant."
I searched the XML Source on FeedBurner in an attempt to find the point at which the problem is occurring. As I stated above, the explicit and author tags within the code for a specific episode (the only episode I currently have) are incorrect. This leads me to believe the problem lies with the feed
mp3.com is providing. I do not believe the
mp3.com XML source is manually editable. Therefore, I'm hoping the FeedBurner source is.
Any insight into how I may be able to adjust the FeedBurner (or even
mp3.com) XML source will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
