Hey guys!
I'm quite puzzled... This very evening, suddenly I couldn't download
my podcast in iTunes, nor via the Podtrac player embedded on my blog,
www.tegnefilmpodcast.blogspot.com.
I can get access to the podcast page in iTunes, I can see the list of
episodes, I can click on each episode and see the duration of the
episode, but it just won't download/play it. Same thing goes for the
Podtrac player.
I have checked the FeedBurner feed under "Troubleshootize" — both
Feedmedic and Podmedic report that everything is fine. Yet, when I
click the "Media enclosure" that seems to be working so brilliantly
according to Podmedic, I get this message:
"Not Found
The requested URL /tegnefilm/podcast/ep26_persepolis.mp3 was not found
on this server."
If I correct the lowercase letters so that the URL becomes ".../
podcast/Ep26_Persepolis.mp3" everything works fine and I can play the
mp3. Something strange and quite annoying happens during the
redirecting process — FeedBurner changes the URL (~r/TegnefilmPodcast/
~5/HFeERQjaQ9c/Ep26_Persepolis.mp3) to an all-lowercase URL (/
tegnefilm/podcast/ep26_persepolis.mp3) which makes the redirecting
fail.
Why oh why does it do this??? And why now??? And what's to do about
it? Help!! :)
Best regards,
Martin
