to Feedbacker
The vision is for Feedbacker to exist in "modules," that is, different
ways for audience members to interact with speakers. The module that
we use in the prototype, which can be found at http://bit.ly/classpulse,
uses a model of "up," "down," and "neutral" for students to give
feedback about whether they "get it." As an educator, you might have a
different vision for how your class functions.

For example, if you are teaching a large lecture class on literary
theory, you might start the class with "what word comes to mind when
you think of 'authorship'?", in which case you would invite the class
to use the "text input" module where they submit a single word and a
bar graph histogram comes up on the projector screen showing all of
the different answers that came up, along with which ones were
submitted the most frequently. For example, 20 percent of the class
might submit the word "writer," and it would have the highest bar. One
student might submit "dead," and it would show up as a very short bar.

Another professor might only want to use this tool as a means of
quizzing students. A speaker might use this tool to "pair" up audience
members so that they can do some impromptu group activity, with
results displayed on the front screen in real time. Yet another might
give a prize to a random audience member who is logged in.

I would like this space to be a forum for discussing different ways
for audience members and a discussion leader, or speaker, to interact.
Go wild. Extra points if you do a cool PDF or JPEG mockup of your
concept.
