I've looked through the group and can't see this error message yet.

I installed the plugin and configured for my feedburner feed /
Groupings and the feed stats link loaded under dashboard OK, but when
i click the link I get this error

This feed does not permit Awareness API access.

How do i fix?

Thanks for all the work you have put into the plugin, it will be great
to have the full version.

Thanks for asking!

Have you tried going into your FeedBurner dashboard (at feedburner.com
or feedburner.google.com) and enabling Awareness API access? You'll
find it under Publicize -> Awareness API in the settings for your
feed.

If you have any more issues, please tell me.

Hope this helps!
Jonathan

It just occurred to me that you might be using the new Google
FeedBurner, which has issues with version 1.0.4 of the plugin.

If you've already tried the solution in the previous message and are
still having trouble, try out 1.0.5 beta 3
(http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/feed-stats-plugin.1.0.5-b3.zip).
It's pretty stable.

The only known issue with 1.0.5 is that item stats aren't displayed.
That's due to a known bug in the Awareness API that this plugin builds
off of.

If you have any issues, please contact me.

Thanks so much for your feedback!

Nope, not using the google feeds which appear to be a mess anyway.

I updated to the new version of feedburner stats.1.0.5

My original feed is http://webguide.net.nz/blog/feed/

The feedburner feed is http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Groupings

The feed stats configuration has Groupings in the text field

I have gone into the Publicize tab and switched the API Awareness on

But when I test in the config the message is still
This feed does not permit Awareness API access.

And of course when I click the feed stats link in my dashboard the
message is

Please Enable the Awareness API

The Awareness API, which gives this plugin access to your stats, is
not enabled for this feed. Go into your FeedBurner account, click on
your feed, click on the "Publicize" tab, click on the "Awareness API"
button in the sidebar, and then click on the "Activate" button.

So, I guess its the beta test next

Cheers

Have you tried putting the full URL for the feed in the text field on
the configuration page?

Hi Jonathan
Just did. tested and got this
Cannot access FeedBurner.

When I saved the full URL I receive this message

Something Didn't Work Right...

This means that an error occurred, but there's no specific problem that can be easily determined. This error was probably caused by one of two things:
  1. FeedBurner is down.
  2. Your server can't access FeedBurner for some reason. [feedburner is fine BTW]

If you think it's the latter and there's no obvious cause, feel free to ask about these problems at the mailing list. In order to make it easier for me to help you with this, please provide the following information about your server:
  1. What type of server you're running (e.g. Apache, Microsoft IIS). If you're unsure, tell me the name of your web hosting company and the plan that you're using.
  2. Your PHP version (copy & paste the following into your email): 5.2.8
If I go back to just putting Groupings in the field and test I'm back to

This feed does not permit Awareness API access.

Downloaded a fresh copy from your site and installed after deleting the old one.

No change.

Cheers

Jonathan

FeedBurner has made several changes to the Awareness API recently to
try to fix some bugs. Does the plugin work for you now?

If not, do you know whether PHP on your server supports OpenSSL?
