Hi Everyone,
I hope your week is off to a good start. I wanted to share information about a project recently launched within the Fedora community. During the Virtual Fedora
Showcase (Nov 2025), we introduced an exciting new project being supported by the
Lyrasis
CST Growth Fund. In conjunction with the release of Fedora 7.x, we will be looking to develop a new training and administrative UI for Fedora that reflects the modernization of the codebase,
as well as incorporates fixes for outdated components of the current UI. Before we can move forward with scoping features to include, we need your input.
Earlier this month, we hosted a series of Open Information Gathering Sessions to gather user stories for working with the UI and how you envision its functionality. There is one
more session taking place today (Wed. Jan 21 @ 1pm Eastern) if
you can attend. The zoom link to join is: https://lyrasis.zoom.us/j/89598402086?pwd=UYvdeI6vpc11bp8fwv0AFbrcKMVkOR.1
However, if you were unable to attend any of the sessions, we still
need your ideas to
ensure we have captured community-wide input.
We have created an asynchronous opportunity to provide feedback. Please submit your ideas into our Community Input Matrix here:
