Hello,

Today we are reaching out with information about Fedora Governance Elections. With the completion of the nomination phase on August 22, 2025, we are pleased to present the following candidates:

1. Kate Dohe, University of Maryland Libraries

"I am the Director of Digital Programs & Initiatives at the University of Maryland Libraries, which has been a Fedora institution for two decades. I've been a member of Fedora Governance since 2021, most recently serving as Chair of the governance group. I would be honored to continue my participation in Fedora governance and contributing to the health of the technology and community that underpins our infrastructure, especially at this challenging time for cultural heritage institutions and higher education."

2. Oliver Schöner, Berlin State Library

"As a heavy Fedora user since 2015, I would like to apply for another term, bringing in my special perspective - that of a Non-American user, and on the other hand more from the technical than the organizational side. I have had the opportunity to serve on Fedora Governance for the last 2 terms and believe that continuing my involvement is important."

3. Manish Kumar, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

"I’m excited to join the Fedora Governance community to contribute and collaborate with other Fedora members and Users. Fedora is a vital component of UNLV’s Special Collections and Archival Portal and digital preservation. I want to be involved directly as a community member to serve in the development of Fedora, as well as take care of UNLV’s Fedora repository. Joining the community will provide me with an excellent opportunity to meet new people, get help in bug fixing, and receive technical support from other Fedora fellows and community members when needed."
