Hi Everyone,

This is a reminder that there is an upcoming Solutions Showcase taking place Wednesday, August 19 @ 11am Eastern.

We are excited to welcome back Michael Della Bitta from the Internet Archive who will be giving us an in-depth look at what it looks like to operate a batch crawling job. In this session he will give an overview of different types of crawlers, discuss why you'd want to use multiple types, and how that might inform how you think about and work with the crawling ecosystem. 

A slight twist on what we normally cover in the Solutions Showcase Series, but the goal of this session is to bring a new perspective on harvesting bots, and provide information on the crawling ecosystem from the inside.

As always, registration is FREE. The session will be recorded, and all registered attendees will receive a link to the recording after the session.

As we move in to the weekend I want to send a final reminder about the next Solutions Showcase, hosted by the AI Discussions Working Group.

Join us Wednesday, August 19^th @11am Eastern for The Internet Archive - Behind the Wheel of a Crawler.

Michael Della Bitta has generously offered his time to present at his second Solutions Showcase, offering us a twist on our normal content. The Solutions Showcase Series is organized by the AI Discussions Group, a collaborative initiative that emerged from shared concerns about the impact of AI-driven web harvesting on academic institutions. While our initial focus was on academic repositories, we’ve since expanded our scope to include all corners of the GLAM sector.
