I’m reaching out to you on behalf of an ex-colleague of mine (Simon Lamb, some of you will remember him from his time at Hull working on Hydra and Blacklight). He’s looking to find anyone in the Samvera Community who is using cloud-based, managed services for Solr – particularly at scale (he’s thinking millions of items) who would be prepared to share their experience. He’s “investigating the prospect of moving a large Solr index into PAAS solution; realising the benefits of having a solr installation that is managed; maintained and supported, with access to query/index experts.”
