Hi Everyone,
As we move steadily into the new year, we are pleased to launch some exciting new opportunities to get involved in the Fedora community.
We would like to invite you all to participate in the Website Content Working Group. The focus of the WG will be to update the Fedora Commons Wikipedia (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedora_Commons) entry to bring it in alignment with the current state of the
technology, community, and program.
What we’re looking for:
-
Anyone with writing skills who is open to collaborative work
-
General understanding of Fedora, digital preservation, and/or digital repositories
What kind of commitment are we asking:
-
1 monthly meeting to discuss on-going work
-
Asynchronous work through collaborative tools like Google Docs.
-
Estimated completion - late Summer 2026 (4-6 months, or until project is complete)
So, if you are interested in participating, and looking to give something back to the Fedora community, join our WG! This is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow community members, learn a little more about our wonderful program and make a meaningful contribution
to the Fedora community.
To schedule our first meeting, we are asking that you submit your name by Thursday, February 19th to allow enough time to coordinate.
Thanks in advance. Look forward to seeing you soon.
Cheers,
Arran
